What are these dents?

Tooooooo much lube!
Clean your die to remove build up.
Sometimes less is more.
I'm gonna get beat up for this but I use
Hornady's 1 shot, never a stuck case nor dents.
I tried One Shot on the recommendation of a good friend. In fact he gave me two cans. First time I tried it I stuck cases in the FL die like crazy. Never again I said. Well, that was until I found out I grabbed the wrong can and had sprayed them with the One Shot gun cleaner instead of the case lube. I'm a convert!

Neck doesnt slide in the die and a bushing is a replaceable part (even though i figure i have 20k rounds on a bushing for my ppc with no wear). Wonder how many rounds of brass itll take to wear out hardened steel?
I wonder who could do the math for us. That would be interesting..

Sounds like a Hornday F/L die

If that is the case why use lube? You are all wet there, it will seize up..... Why use lube on turning necks? even on a carbide mandrel no lube you make junk. excess lube on a bushing die is forced out of the hole into the bushing area..... Jim

Wrong.
It would have stuck in any brand die.
Not everything bad in this world is Hornady. I've loaded some of my most accurate ammo (also almost 0 runout) on Hornady dies.
For your curious mind, it was a Lee FL die and in 223 Ackley. The 223 Ackley, with its lack of taper and small rim, make sticking one in a die pretty easy.

I found that Hornday sized the body waaaay to much for my personal taste. Almost stuck several cases' no joy in that..

Never tried a Lee

Lmao
What case trimmer?
Hornady

I started with Lee neck dies, they really do make good ammo.

If I'm using either my redding s type or hornady neck die I dont need to use lube.

Now as far as sticking cases only ever happened to me once.
All the lube in the world wouldn't have stopped it from happening either.
Just finished loading some 260, switched out seater for for my rcbs ar/sub die to start work on some 556 brass.
Well me being stuck on stupid, didn't change shell holder from #2 to a #4.
Everything worked as it was supposed to until I lowered the ram.

A stuck case remover is 1 reloading tool that you only have to buy once.

Why did you say your gonna get beat up for using 1 shot. In my opinion it's the best stuff that I have ever used in the 50 years that I have been in the reloading game.

Lots of folks have a hatred for hornady.
I'm thinking cuz the marketing genius of anything creedmoor.
Figured be more guys using lanolin or imperial.
I too think 1shot is the neatest thing since sliced bread n peanut butter.

I have cats. A cat hair stuck to a case. After sizing a couple it balled up & caused a weird shape on the neck of one case.
That case will be reformed as a sighter.

One shot, lightly spray what's on the tray 360°

I have /use a can of one shot,
Anyone that wants to beat up BC can add me to their list

I am waiting for 2 custom reamer 22-250 barrels to finished, gs wants me to bring everything for test firing. Once fired brass is in the box, decapped and cleaned- sprayed with one shot.
