I just punch paper, so for that I would recommend either a 168 or 175 Sierra Match King, very easy to tune with most applicable 308 powders. If there's a chance of reaching out beyond 300, I would go with the 175 SMK.

hunting fox, coyote ,bobcats and eastern NC whitetail. Not a competitive rifle shooter(archery yes) but do lots of local and personal shooting with mariners and family in my area.I have just recently turned 66. I now shoot from bench or tall bipod. Do to some past neck injuries unable to shoot prone any longer(had shot prone and three position for 40+ years). Those days are behind me -----------trying to develop good bench and BiPod skills.

Wow Richard, your not asking for much! : Maybe you could get the Warren Commission to release the "Magic Bullet" ;D Any bullet that will humanely kill a Whitetail will turn a furbearer inside out. Any chance of using a smaller caliber for the yotes and Reds? As for Deer the Sierra Pro Hunter and Gameking series, Nosler Ballistic Tips, Berger Hunting VLD's, Barnes "X" bullets along with a host of others from Speer, Hornady and the rest in 150 grain range will serve you well. Berger lists theirs as Hunting Match and if your rifle likes them it would cover two of your requests however they command premium prices also. In that weight class Varget or IMR 4064 seems to be the "go-to" powders. necchi posted the link to the 308 page and there is a link to Sierra's reloading manual along with know pet loads of notable shooters.

I use the Sierra 150 grain Pro Hunter with 44.0 grains of Varget, Federal 210M Primer, Remington Brass, COL - 2.800.

Very accurate and effective deer load. Bullet are not expensive. Mild recoil, velocity in my 24" Remington 700 is 2770 ft/s.

168 AMAX & just swap your 168 match data for 4064 or 4895. If not that then the 165 Sierra HP Game King. However ... on small game you probably won't have much to retrieve after shot. On white tail & coyote the Amax is fine.

168 Nosler Ballistic Tip, Federal 210 match primer, RL15 43-45 grains, AR Comp 42.8 (my current load and very accurate), or 43-45 grains of varget. Mine currently sit .014" off the lands. Very easy bullet to load develop and good to 900yds. I actually shot them to 1005yds this last Friday. They key holed, but still managed about a 12" group! ??? Another accuracy load is the same load components with 43gn and 45gn or RL15 with Nosler Custom Comps. Hold 1MOA to 1000 when I do my part well. You could substitute in the 180 NBT.

In my 20 inch SPS Tactical the Berger 168gr. VLD with 44gr. 8208, CCI BR2 primer loaded to 3.00 OAL. It moves along at 2675 FPS and groups around 3/4 to an inch at 300 yds.

I know a guy who does quite well in 300 yard competitions with his 20in barrel with the 155 amax and 46 grains of varget.
He also shoots deer with the same bullet.

I have been using this load for quite a few years in my 308 for deer and it is supper accurate. 46 grs IMR 4895 with a 125 gr Nosler ballistic tip. Kills deer like the hammer of Thor. Much lighter recoil than 150 gr bullets also.

With the 155 grain bullets, Berger, Hornady A-Max & SST, Sierra, in the range of 44.8 - 45.0 grains of IMR 8208 does very well. Work up to that load. Hodgdon shows 45.3 as max.
I'm shooting a 700 SPSV, 26" tube. That said, your best load may be a couple tenths lower with the 20" tube.
45.0 grains, WW brass, 155 Berger, CCI 200, COAL of 2.805" (I think, without going thru all my notes) shoots bugholes. It is a real deer slayer. 300 yds, quartering away, bullet entered 1 1/2" behind the last rib on the right side and part of it exited at the left front neck shoulder junction. DRT. Very good expansion on 125 lb size deer.

My hunting rig is a fully accurized lugged and scoped M1A and load is identical to Shortround's load data. Those 155 Hunting VLDs are amazingly accurate and deadly pills. The long shot thus far is only 317, accurate enough to pinpoint shot placement, in this case spine right above the front quarter.

155 Amaxes kill deer and coyotes well. They penetrate enough to kill deer humanely and don't do too much damage to the pelt of a coyote. I've had one dog run after hit, but he made it no more than 25 yards before running out of hydraulic fluid.

As for accuracy, they were the bullet I was shooting when I shot a club record in F-class(ish) prone at 600 yards. The BC is a touch low for that far, but they do shoot if you can read the wind. At 300 yards, they are a no-brainer. The wind drift is reasonable too. My best 300 yard groups are right at and just under 3/4" with the 155 Amax.

Anything bigger than deer would require a head shot though. They don't penetrate that well...

I am shooting a Hornady 165 gn. SST, and 175 gn. Interlock , with Rem, primers in Win. cases, and 41.1gns.of IMR XBR 8208 powder. Used in a Tika 308 Mt 20'' varmint barrel. This shoots great out to 500yd. with a 3 shot 6'' group for me. Went Elk hunting and shot one at 376 yds. and it drop where it stood. Hogden site has loads listed there that can be downloaded, or printed off, for lots of bullet weights.

Does anybody use Mag Primers for their 308 loads ? I was told by a friend of mind that in his 308 he uses H4895 powder and mag primer. So I tried some IMR 4064 @ 42.0 gr using the 168 Berger VLD and got a good group. Then tried CCI Br primers using the same powder load and the group was not as good. Just wondering...........
