What 10/22 barrel?

All ive had is a green mountian barrel... it shoota better than factory, certain ammo better than others... but is there a 10/22 barrel that is the standard among precision rimfires for what its worth.... or ahould i just stick with this green mountain...?

The triggers are second to none. I've replaced my volquartsen triggers The trigger kits are just as good as the whole trigger in my opinion.
I think Kidd is synonymous with quality.

Are KIDD parts totally worth all the money? Receiver and all?
I put a Kidd drop in trigger....Up until I cycled and bought a Bix'n Andy it was the nicest trigger I owned. If I was to mess with my 10/22 it would be to put on a Kidd barrel...no doubts...no hesitation. Yes, IMO it is worth the $$$.

In your opinion would it be worth getting the kidd receiver too?
Absolutely!
With the addition of the rear tang on Kidd receivers you have 2 points to hold the action into the stock. Important in your going to get an 18" .920 bull barrel. If you go Kidd look at the supergrade receiver and barrel the barrels threaded to the receiver, instead of slipfit like the classic.

Is that the only difference, its threaded? I mean i get it, it holds on better, but why would you have to swap out barrels.. a 22 barrel should last a while...

You're new to the 10-22 culture, lol. :D You can't have just one, you're always tinkering, and always looking for another combination. They tend to propagate like rabbits - I still have one NIB $199 sale basic carbine in the basement awaiting the next time the bug strikes.

The last build used a Kidd single stage trigger group and a Kidd lightweight barrel on a slightly modified factory receiver/bolt group. It's a whizz-bang, my best effort to date. Kidd pars are something else again - great quality and great support.
