I haven't wet moly coated in years. I reread thru some of the posts here but most are somewhat dated so I would like to get more current input before I get out the old moly powder I have and water to try my hand at this process again.
The procedure I think I'll follow:
1) Clean the bullets (100ea). I have acetone. Thought I'd let the the bullets soak in that a bit and then make absolutely certain the bullets are dry prior to the next step.
2) Place the clean bullets in a empty 1 pound, plastic powder bottle I have. Add 1/2 TSP (that enough?) of moly and fill the bottle with just enough water to cover the bullets ( enough?)
3) Cap the bottle and tape the cap to prevent the cap from coming loose/off.
4) Place the bottle in my Franklin Arsenal tumbler and tumble the bullets for????? an hour???? 2 hours????
Is the rotational speed of this tumbler too fast???
5) Inspect the bullets for correct coating after whatever length of time I select.
Once correctly coated, extract the bullets, rinse in hot water and dry in a one time use towel.
Thoughts and suggestions. Thanks
