That is not the case. The barrel is torqued by hand and then the SwitchLug is tightened with with a torque wrench to prevent movement. I have never had a barrel loosen in two years of use with the SwitchLug.Just be aware that the WTO Switchlug leaves your barrel in a hand tightened state, and relies on pins to prevent any rotation from further loosening it. It doesn't provide a very secure joint between the action and barrel, IMO.
