Welcome to the Reloading Forum -- Introduce Yourself

Hi everyone,

Glad to be here and glean any info I can. I would call myself a mediocre reloader and a decent shooter (hunting only background). Don't have a lot of money to throw into a fancy rifle so I just reload for my old savage 30-06, I bedded the stock and have worked up some reloads with great results. Harvested a Pronghorn last year from 420 yards which was the farthest shot I've ever taken on an animal.

Cheers!

Hey team, new guy here checking in from the great state of GA. Been reloading for a couple years now, just getting into working up a precision load for my 6.5CM custom shop RPR. Tons of fun working through figuring out how all the different variables interact and just working on improving my shooting in general.

Very interested in River Bend Gun Club, so if any members happen to read this I'd love to chat about membership.

Also interested in possibly trying PRS next year down in south GA.

Hello guys and gals. I’m an avid reloaded and part time competition shooter. I really enjoy the content on here given the amount of experience within the community i don’t think you can find a better group to converse with on a passion, hobby, constitutional right, and or a sport. Thanks for taking the time to reply to questions with sincere answers and a lack of juvenile pettiness.

Have a great Weekend.

Justin

Howdy Everyone, name is Daniel go by Dan mostly, but after 25 years marriage...will answer to most anything. Love to shoot, learn new things and help people when I can. I used to hunt a lot but starting to have more fun just shooting steel and long range-ELR. Look forward to learning some new things and hopefully pass on any knowledge I have to others. Thanks

hi all. name is jeff. squeaky new to the forum and even more so to hand loading. I plan on getting into the reloading world. Ive read a couple of books. Watched tons of youtube video's to the point of nausea and now i am here. God there is so much to this. I have the basic concept but there is so much i don't know or understand that it makes it hard to know where to start. here we go!

Hello
New here, name is Brad, I’ve been precision hand loading and bulk reloading for over 20yrs, love finding loads that shoot half moa groups, I do a lot of bullet expansion test on hunting and self defense bullets. Always something new to learn and test why I love reloading.

Hello,
I load several cartridges, but volume wise it’s really mostly .223 for xtc competition.
Thanks for having a place for us to come talk about all the stuff we like, and that our spouses are tired of hearing about.

Hi all, just getting started in reloading. Going to start with 6.5CM and 6GT. Hoping to learn a good bit of info here. Thanks for all the help in advance.

Howdy y'all. New here, but have been reloading for over 30 years. I started with my dad when I was 6, and was reloading our familiar calibers on my own by the time I was 9. I got into wildcatting, reforming brass to different calibers, and new cartridge development in the last 5 years or so. I currently have a proprietary cartridge that I'm working on, but it is still in the design phase. More info to come on that if I can get it from an idea on paper to a built rifle. I joined here because I'm new to .458 SOCOM and have a couple questions about load data. I'm going to search the forums to see if I can find what I need before I make a new post.

Howdy Y'all,
I'm new to this site, Have shot lots of Nra Bullseye Matches, Buried my children's inheritance in the berms of many High Power ranges, turned So. Dakota Pasture Poodles into Pink Mist, But most of all love bug hole groups in far away targets with Interesting Rifles and Pistols.
I just may have to follow this group very closely!
Hold Hard.
Slick.

Merry Christmas!

Having read and enjoyed this site and forum for years, it's time to ask some questions!

I've been shooting and reloading for decades, getting my first rifle in the 1970's. Mostly I tinker and do my own thing, ranging from action shooting with handguns to longer-range shooting with rifles. Precision and its elements, while limited by the monkey on the trigger, is endlessly fascinating, and advancements have really accelerated in the last twenty years or so.

Hi Forum -
I got into hunting later in life (close to 50) and now 5 years into it have started to reload. I enjoy the process of perfecting things (a bit OCD probably if I'm honest), so reloading and improving my shooting suits me. I just finished working up my first load for a .243 commercial Mauser that I had to have. A lot to learn and looking forward to it.

Hi all.

New to the forum. Based in Rustenburg South Africa. Reloading currently for shotgun, .303 Lee Enfield, .308 Win, .357 for both revolver and lever action as well as 9mm. Avid hunter and range shooter. I hope to learn and contribute.

Thanks

Alfie

Hi Everyone, New to the forum but have read many posts over the years. I have been reloading off and on for 25 years. Looking to learn some new things from new people. Mostly load for my 7mm-08, 308 and 300 WM but just purchased a 7mmPRC and 25-06 I'm going to work up some loads for.

Hey all, I'm new to reloading! I have friends and family that reloads. I am mainly here to learn more about powder selection for different applications and what signs to look for when it comes to pressure and safety.

Greetings Programs, I'm new to reloading. Long time hunter. Christmas bonus from work and a weird gut feeling prompted my launch into building my own rounds. Prolly bit off a mouthful of rabbit-hole, but I get some satisfaction from marching to my own drum...

Now I have a Lee Loadmaster, MEC 12 gauge press and accompanying case cleaning and prep tools, powder scales, shot, bullets, primers, etc. for the various freedom seeds I want to start with. Ive been collecting brass for a few years worth of plinking and hunting. Even found a local recycling center where Range-Chickens take range brass for money. I grabbed a bucket full in the various calibers I want to try reloading, and took it to my reloading supplier/ new BFF to see if he thought it would be safe to reload. After a brief tutorial on what to look for in used brass, and offering annealing services, should I need them, I am off to the races...so to speak.

Luckily, I live in an area where shooting sports are popular. So there always seems to be a good supply of brass to sort thru. I've just started sorting and cleaning brass, studying a new Hornady manual and watching YouTube vids like a fat-kid in a bakery, to learn about what components give consistent, accurate results down range. If I had money, I'd be dangerous.

So it's nice to meet you all. I will be lurking, absorbing, asking dumb questions and picking your brains on how to get the most out of my gear, minimize my mistakes and flatten my learning curve.

Oh ya, I plan on reloading, as time-knowledge-money permits: .380, 9mm, .40, .45acp, .45lc, 38, .357mag, .223/5.56, 300blk, 7.62x39, 30/30 Win, .308, 450bm, .20gauge and 12gauge (shotguns in assorted loads).

So... Ya!

Hi All,

Newbee KC Hunter here,

Just acquired a Lee bench mount ram and dye set for reloading 35 Rem shells. I bought the capability in response to the 35 Rem ammo crisis. I purchased some once fired brass from an on line auction site and will be loading Hornady LVR XTP bullets with Hodgdon LVR propellent. Nice to be a member and I look forward to rich discussions in this subject matter.
