Welcome to the Reloading Forum -- Introduce Yourself

Hello,
My name is John, and I’m new here! I used to reload a lot back about 30-40 years ago but got away from it. but with the problems finding ammunition of late, I decided to breakout my reloading equipment and get back at it!

Right now I am reloading 300 BLK and soon .223. I just started with the 300 Blackout, I just built an AR in 300 BLK from a 80% kit. I’m happy with the kit from Daytona Tactical except it took a month for them to get it to me!

I’m from Tucson, AZ. And I’m old and full of desert dust so bear with me!

Hello from Finland,
My name is Juha, been reloading for few years. Mainly for my Tikka M65 Sporter .308 and Tikka T3 Super Varmint .222 rem. Mainly for hunting but of course some for range. As you may allready guess, almost everything here is made by Sako or Lapua :) And powder is allways Vihtavuori. Looking forward to get new ideas and also good advice.

Hey Everyone,
Name is Rob. I have been a LONG time lurker here. This has been a treasure trove of information. I finally decided to join as I get further into more odd ball calibers and slowly work towards competing. I have been loading my own for a good 7 years now and look forward to gaining more information from you seasoned vets.
Regards!

Morning Gents, John here from New Zealand, I was in the US a few years back doing dog work in Tx and Mt, everyone called me Kiwi John. I hunt, reload, fish lakes and Target shoot in the traditional manner with sling and .308

Hello all, Tim Cowan here from western Pa. New to the forum, looking for some assistance. About me: I’ve been hunting for 50 years, Archery and gun, I shoot my fair Share of clays mostly for fun, some light competition.

The majority of my hunting has been focused on Whitetail, one nice muley and hoping to take a bull elk this fall in NM.

looking for some advice for loading my Kimber 8400 .325 WSM. Very frustrated that Winchester basically stopped loading their line of ammo in a caliber they developed. And it seems there isn’t much variety in a selection of bullets right now.

Any advice on a couple of loads I could try in my Kimber for this falls elk hunt would be appreciated.

looks like a cool forum, I’ll be browsing around for sure.

Howdy! Totally new to reloading...in fact just now doing the homework for my first press. I am here to ask the qualified experts some questions I can put with the rest of the data I have collected in order to get off the ground.

Kevin Gergely. Just now joined as I'm having trouble with forming cases for my 257 AI. I've used the site a lot when I needed good information on barrels, actions, etc. I appreciate the quick response in getting my membership approved.

Hi from the mountains of Western Colorado. New to reloading, been watching for a while, like 8 plus years, ha. Time to get serious. A bit overwhelming but excited to dive in. Thanks for the help in advance.

Hi from the UP of Michigan. I've been reloading for about 40 years and on this forum since 2012. I have learned soooooooo much here from truly accomplished people. I don't know of any other resource that is even close. Thanks to all for being so free with their expertise!

John from West Virginia. Currently reload on a single stage press for match quality rounds in 284 Win and soon 6.5X47 Lapua. I also have a Hornady lock n load ammo plant that I load 5.56, 300 AAC, and 9mm with.

Greetings from northern BC Canada. Been a shooter and hunter since 1958, and have enjoyed a lot of time in the field
as well as a very large amount of top quality meat harvested over the decades.

Started reloading in 1961, and have learned so much over the years [still learning too!] [17 Rem through 45-70.]
Shoot centerfire long range targets [1000 yards] and rimfire 50 and 100 meters.

Raised a good sized family [5] and they are all responsible adults with kids of their own. Looking forward to enjoying
this forum, and possibly contributing a bit as well. Dave.

Good Day All,

Hank from Grand Forks, North Dakota here. Been reloading for 25 years and shooting for nearly 50. Enjoy working with classic cartridges (.221, .222, etc.) and enjoy punching holes in paper and varmint hunting on occasion. Shot a little formal short-range benchrest when I was younger and considering returning to the game.

Howdy from Southern Alberta ,Canada.
I've been shooting most of my life ,I hunt and like to Varmint shoot(Gophers).A few years ago got into BR for Score, organized and run a League at my Local Gun Club ,nothing too serious but we have a lot of fun. I load for a 6BR.(a second one soon) and .30 Br., 6.5CM,7-08Rem.,.204 R. and own various Rimfire's for general plinking/Varmint fun.
I'm also the past and current Rifle Director for our Club(about 850 Members) and enjoy being involved with that aspect.
As mentioned by other's, there is a wealth of information on this site that I appreciate having access to.

Greetings from College Station, TX. Long-time hunter and reloader. Always looking for newer and better loads. Grew up competing in NRA matches.

Load .22 Hornet, .223, .243, 6.5CR, 7mm-08, .270, .380, 9mm, 38 Spl and .357. So, boring stuff, for now. Considering a 6.5 Grendel for a ranch rifle.

Appreciate all the great info. Hope to contribute along the way.

Hey Everyone! Zach Lux, from Climbing Hill IA here. I am just getting into reloading and am trying to get as much info as possible. I have always enjoyed shooting, but obligations have prevented me from reloading until now. I plan on taking my time and not going bonkers while I start and I get the feel for the basics (brilliance in the basics has gotten me to this point in my life alive:)). I started shooting, mainly hunting guns until I enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2002 when I was 17. I really enjoyed the longer ranges of the 5.56, 7.62, 50 and 40 mm that being a 0331 (machine gunner) afforded me. I got out in 2006 after 4 years and found the only women on the planet that can put up with my antics. We have been blessed with 5 daughters (yes 6 women) through our time together. So far they all enjoy shooting and hunting (the youngest is 7 and got moved up this year she is enjoying her 17 hmr alot). Seems like ammo is getting scarce and expensive so my wife let me pull the trigger (yeah corny I know) on a reloader. So hoping to make my money back eventually with the added benefit of accuracy for hunting (and maybe some family shoot offs).

I struggled with what setup to start off with because I didn't want to upgrade in a year or two even though I understand a single stage is a better option for newbies like me. I now have a dillon 550C since it looked like it had a wide variety of options for calibers.

I am really looking forward to learning from everyone here.
