Welcome to the Reloading Forum -- Introduce Yourself

I shoot the 1,000 yard range. My new experiments is with the .224 Valkyrie. It is an AR-15 platform. I shoot the Berger 90 grs bullets mostly.
I like the speed of this web page. Many of the forums are as slow as a desert turtle.:D

Hi everyone my name is Chris from N.H. and I'm just starting out in reloading metallic, shot shell and casting bullets. I have put together some loads and have had good results. Trying to learn as much as I can and read a lot. Thanks for having me.

Hello, lurked on this forum for years and finally decided to join. Have been shooting since I was young and been reloading about 10 years. Usually shoot steel at long range but recently shot my first F class match. So I decided I better get some more knowledge on the matter.

Hi folks. New guy signing in. Found this site a while back and really appreciate all the information shared here by some very knowledgeable people. Been reloading for almost 40 years and still learning, thanks to forums like this. Used to shoot some competition years ago (Rifle and handgun metallic silhouettes) now I just burn up powder shooting at home mostly. Thanks for letting me hang out here and learn some more stuff.

Hello all. I've been an inactive member here for quite a while and think I will now start being a bit more active. I've been helping some folks clean up their family property and will be able to hunt on it. I'm currently getting ready to help thin out the coyotes to give it a healthier area for deer and other small animals. Thanks for letting me join.

Jerry

Ciao everyone. I registered here really long ago, now the smart-working/lockdown made me rediscover Accurateshooter forum, eager to be part of the community. I usually ring steel at distance (300-1000m) with custom bolts, DT SRS and a couple of AR308. I reload 6.5 cm, 7 SAUM and .300 NM
Post Scriptum: I am in Italy. So far, so good....
Stay safe and see you around here folks!

Hey Guys, thanks for letting me join! It great to hang out with like-minded people who share a common interest. During the county shut-down due to the Covid 19 issue, I've been tucked away in my gun room working up some new loads for my Browning X-Bolt 6.5 CM and my 300 RUM. Looking forward to sharing and gaining insights here!

Hi. Jim from Missouri here. Started loading in 1974 and been chasing one hole groups ever since. Never competed seriously - shot on smallbore and combat rifle teams in the military, but I was about the #3 man. Shot a little local PPC way back when. I longed to get into prairie dogs but thought I couldn't afford the trips when the family was young. Finally got the chance in the late 80's. A couple of guys I knew asked me to load them 1,000 rounds each of 22-250 for trip to SD. Next year they asked me to go. Been hooked ever since.

I've been on other boards for 10 years or so and have checked you guys out, but there was just so much here that interested me and I didn't have time to absorb/get up to speed. Still don't have enough time, but sure have enjoyed everything so far.

I won't have a lot to contribute. I'm way behind what I've seen here already, and some of my methods/ideas are a little outdated.

Thanks for allowing me to hang.

Hey Fellows, I just bought my first slightly used 6 BR and wanted to pick up tips on reloading and do's and don'ts with this rig. I have been an avid hunter all my life but recently got in to target shooting and reloading about three years ago. I have a few rifles 308, 6.5 CM, and a 223 bolt action along with a 223 AR that I have been loading for with pretty good luck. The 6 BR I bought has a Impact Precision action, Bartlein 1-7.5 twist and I am currently shooting the Berger 105 gr Hybrid target bullets. I am experimenting with Varget, RE 15, and IMR 8208 XBR powders and just loaded up three of each with CCI No. 450 primers and three of each with same powder charges with Federal GM205M primers to chronograph. Anyway, I am excited to be on this forum and look forward to meeting and talking with you fellows to learn reloading and shooting tips to make me a better reloader/shooter. I will also share any information I have that might help anyone. Thanks for letting me join!!

Thanks for the add. I've reloaded for hunting for years. But, now that I've picked up interest in longer range, smaller caliber stuff, I've been getting good info from the forum. So as to not just lurk, I've joined on to be able to ask and help if possible. Looking forward to being here. Doug

Howdy, all. Thanks for allowing me to be a member of this site. I used to shoot competition SC and USPSA but got out of it for a while. After a number of years I'm starting to get back into it and love seeing all the info I can find here. Hope everyone is well during this "apocalypse" and that things get back to normal. Cheers.

Hello out there I'm new here. I have enjoyed this site, a lot of good people and info. Finally decided to join up. I'm in SE Kansas and have been reloading for around 40 years still learning. My primary shooting is targets , trip or 2 a year to shoot some prairie dogs and some predator calling . It's getting hard to find spots here in Kansas for prairie dogs anymore. A lot of poisoning going on. The main cartridge's I load for are 20 BR, .223 AI 12 twist, 223 AI 8 twist, 22 BRX 8 twist, 22/250 AI 7 twist, and a 6mm BRX 8 twist.
Have a great Day and stay safe.

Hi all across the pond. Hardly a rabbit left nowadays here so the .22 rim fire hardly sees daylight except the occasional trip with son -in - law and grandson for some targets. Mainly deer stalking and fox control for me now with .243 and .22/250

Hello everyone I reload everything from 17 remington to 338 06. I have several wildcats and AI’s that have found sweet loads for but I’m having trouble finding that one magical load for my 22 243 winchester. Any suggestions in the 75 to 88 grain range? Thanks.

Might give RL 22 a try I'm shooting 88g ELDS in my 22/250 AI with a 7 twist Brux 28". It seems to be working pretty well. Just finishing up load development this weekend. As of know I'm getting a touch over 3200fps with SD's in the single digits. Goodluck

Sounds like your on the right track. I have had good results with Varget and RL 15. CCI 450's worked the best for me. I would say neck tension and seating depth would be at the top of the list. The 6 BR is pretty easy to get to shoot well. You will love it. Very accurate and no recoil to speak of. I usually try for 1 - 2 thou neck tension.

Hello everyone.

Avid reloader here and far into the rabbit hole.

I currently reload 223, 300BlkOut, 308, 30-06, 6.5 Creedmoor, 9mm, 45ACP and 458 SOCOM. Like to get into 338 Lapua and 50 cal also.

Currently have two Dillon 650s, one set up as small primer the other set up as large primer. Also have a Redding T7 and Redding Competition Dies in all rifles listed above.

Ordered the AutoTrickler V3 & FX-120i from CE Products today and some gear from Area 419. Looking at acquiring a Dillon RL1100 around end of this year.

Thanks, I’ll let you know how it works out.
