Welcome to the Reloading Forum -- Introduce Yourself

Good morning shooters.
Just started reloading a month ago and have found this forum to be a great resource!
Been shooting only two years and having a ball now at age 71.
99% of my efforts are High Power competition - Across the Course and Mid Range.

Keep up the good work on this Forum!

Hello! My name is Drake, I'm from New York, nice to meet you. I watched this forum for a couple of weeks and now I decided to register. I will be glad to talk!

Hi all. Long time shooter here, just getting back into reloading. Been lurking for a couple months, figured I'd make it official and sign up. Cheers!

Hello All!

Been lurking for awhile and finally decided to join up. Been shooting for many years, but only reloading for about 2. That was as of 12 years ago. After moving into an apartment where I couldnt set up to reload, then moving back to Tennessee, I'm finally ready to get back into it now that I have a space to setup and a range to shoot at.

Got lots to (Re)learn. Still have all my old stuff, and after unpacking it all, honestly I'm kinda scratching my head over a few of the tools trying to remember what they are and what they do, lol.

I'll get back into the swing of things eventually. I reload for .45ACP, .223, and .308. My .45 and .223 are done on a turret with powder drops, for quantity. For the .308 I do everything on a single stage. I would like to get into PRS and maybe F-Class. Something longer than 300 yards anyways.

So I tried to post a new thread with some questions I have about neck sizing, and it says the content I'm trying to post is not allowed.

Any ideas what gives?

Hi folks, I'm new to the reloading forum but have been reloading many years. Interests are Service Rifle XTC, Palma, and Bullseye Pistol. I've learned a lot from reading posts and wanted to share a little.

As of today, Cabelas and Bass Pro both have 1#ers of Varget available for shipment in 2-3 weeks. I placed and order and the confirmation stated a delivery date range of March 20-30. If you are running low here is an option to get you through until 8#ers are readily availalbel (hopefully sometime soon!)

Howdy, folks! I write from Alabama without a banjo on my knee... I reload for lots of different calibers and guns, both short and long--but I do not reload for smoothbore guns. I used to, but don't do it any longer. I reloaded shotgun shells when I lived in Italy, where in those days I mostly shot small birds. I began hunting legally in 1964, at 16, the minimum age then to get a license--now it's 18--and left Italy in 1975. I soon found out that commercial shells in the States are way better than their Italian counterpart, and I quit reloading. I lived in California for a couple of years, in Stockton, with my Californian wife. We then moved to Montana, where we spent seven years. It was in Montana that I began reloading for pistols (.357 Magnum and .44 Magnum) and for my Remington 700 .30-06 and my wife's Remington 788 in .243. From Montana we moved to Kodiak, Alaska, where we spent 29 years. There I acquired all kinds of guns and really got into reloading. There were two great ranges in Kodiak, an outdoor rifle range with targets up to 500 yards from the benches, and an indoor range, heated, with fancy mechanized targets that could be positioned up to 25 yards from the shooting stalls. My wife and I shot pistols there every Friday night, and at times at weekend matches. That's when I bought a progressive press (a Dillon Square Deal) that worked great and fed our .45 ACP's large doses of target ammo. I also reloaded for my favorite hunting rifle, a Ruger M77 in .338 WM, a .22 Hornet, a Marlin .450, the old .30-06, a Garand, an SMLE in .303 Brit, a Winchester M. 94 .30-30, three Beto O'Rourke Specials (AR 15's), a Ruger Mini-14 Ranch Rifle, and my new toy, a .50 Beowulf (the upper from Alexander Arms, the lower a S&W M&P) Last week I completed about twenty rounds of .50 Beowulf but I haven't had a chance to try them out for impeccable functioning first and accuracy second. I don't expect superior accuracy to be satisfied. Here 99% of shots at game are within 70 yards. Alexander Arms cartridges do not cause any stoppages, feed and eject flawlessly. But I like to shoot my reloads at game. I haven't killed an animal in the past 40 years with commercial loads. And I have quite a few deer and other hairy critters on my conscience.
I haven't navigated through this forum yet, and I wonder if there are any .338 WM, .22 Hornet, and .50 Beowulf aficionados with whom to exchange info, experiences and knowledge (though of this I have very little, so I expect to learn from anyone who possesses more of it than I.)

Hello all, I am just a normal guy who enjoys shooting and loading my own ammunition. I was recommended to this forum by a friend on another forum. I am happy to be here, thank you for having me.

Edit: I joined this forum a year ago and don't believe I have ever posted.

Hello everyone. Dave here from north west Arizona. I'm a pretty seasoned reloader but new to benchrest shooting and reloading. I have a Wichita action 6mm ppc a old one. I don't have to much knowledge about it the guy who owned it died several years ago and I have some L.E Wilson dies.

Hello everyone. I am Jon from the Western side of PA. I have been reloading for quite a few years but am pretty new to BR and have to admit that I have been a lurker around here for quite awhile. I recently put together a Criterion 6BR on a trued savage action and am eager to start punching holes. Just yesterday I purchased a nice Sinclair Comp Rest from a member on here and thought now is the time to introduce myself and to start getting involved with the group.
Thank you for having me as a member, it is much appreciated.
Jon
