Hi, Glad to be on board! Lots of great information on all the shooting forums. Hope I can contribute some of my experience and evoke some thoughts on a wide range of subject matter related to shooting. You have a great site here and it only gets better as time passes.

Hello, my name is Rand.

I have been a forum member here for a short time.
I am from the U.S. Gulf Coast and currently in Canada.
Former LEO. Current pilot.
Back into reloading after about 15 years of withdrawal :)
I mostly reload .223 for a new 10FCP-K purchased recently.
Looking forward to increasing my knowledge from you all and returning the favor where I can.

Hello All

Great site you have here , tons of very good information and helpful members . I don't see the snobby and callus replies to even the most basic of postings , like you see on a few of the other boards . I Didn't know the forum existed till a few days ago :o , but have read through many of the archived articles over the past few years go figure .

Have only been shooting long range for a short time , but not a stranger to reloading and shooting as I did the service rifle gig for a while till the eyes gave out .

Thanks and looking forward to being an active member

Tony

Thanks. Been learning a lot, and already thinking about doing some more customizing on the rifle, and of course, getting more stuff for hand loading

Guess I jumped the gun , no pun intended, and asked a question about my rifle first.
Shoot a 6AI built on a 700 with a shilen barrel at local matches and joined to learn more.

Bob,
Welcome to the forum, there is nothing saying you have to come here first but I always like to see guys that do so I or some of the other guys can give you a proper welcome. You have come to the right place, this is the best gun forum on the web by a large margin and full of world class shooters and the best knowledge and advice available, I learn something new all the time on here, I am sure you will fit right in, I hope I can hit the post key before The Snake can welcome you he competes with me on welcoming people I think ;) I don't have much knowledge to offer so they have made me the official welcomer ;D

Hello everyone, my name is rich and im new to this forum. I joined for two reasons. One is to share and talk about reloading and shooting, second is to share experiances with others. My father and i have a large collection of firearms and i just started reloading about a year ago. My first case to reload for was 22-250. I must have bought 8 different heads and a bunch of powders. My father is very expeianced reloader and laughed when i came home with all sorts of stuff. He explained to me how he already worked up a good load and though its fun to try all sorts of new things, i should have asked him what worked and what didnt. Needless to say i had a few heads that didnt shoot well out of the model 70 i was loading for. Since then i have been shooting only reloaded ammo. My new faviorte is my custom built .243 bench gun. I machined the gun in its entire hold the scope and barrel, from scratch. The barrel i ordered as a blank, i chambered, crowned, threaded, the whole nine yards. The langest range i have in my area is 125. The gun shoots a rough shaped hole. The accuracy has really surpased anything i could have ever hoped for. Now i have started experimenting with new loads and am looking for .243 powders and load suggestions.

Stebbins, that's a great first post and welcome. Great job on building that first rifle. Did you build the action also? I bet it feels good to shoot one that you carved out from scratch.

Yes everything was built from ground up. Im a tool and die maker in ct. I enginered and designed and machined the entire gun. If i can figure out how to post pix i will asap. My laptop is busted so ive been posting from my smart phone. Should be up and going in a few days.

Howdy,

Long time gun lover. Just getting interested in mid-long range tactical shooting, and reloading. Lots of questions about both. Looking forward to the discussion. MP
