Hello all. I'm Terry and I've been shooting for a couple decades and reloading for about 2 years. I recently decided to take the leap and have my first rifle built. I've been reading a ton of information on the Hide and here and figured I should create an account and say hello and thanks to all who have given me so much free information.

Thanks to all and it is a pleasure to be here.

New guy > Lastontos

Squirrels and rats at the dump, started my 'shooting' life, bout 50 years ago, when ya could do that just north of NYC. Then USMC, tanks, then x>machinegunner (M60), then 'for real' as an ontos crewman/commander. In the 70s & early 80s many hours and dollars spent putting together a M700 Varmint Special, in 6mm rem., it loved IMR4895 and Sierra 85gr HPBT, the chucks.. they didnt..upstate NY at that time was 'chuck' heaven.. many days at Blue Mountian Shooting Park, in up state NY. There was no internet or personal computers, so alot of my experience was first hand trial and error but 25 years ago. Took a break from 'shooting'.. alot has changed but still the same. I just started reloading for my new Savage LRP:6.5 Creedmoor.

BUT!!!!!!!!!!!! This site is GREAT! Articles that are complete and 'accurate'.. <HAHA!

Thank all of you for all your work and information (worth paying for!) and I will (donate).

Lastontos can not donate

I will TRY to donate.. it will not take my CC. It is very' good. I use it daily and the balance is well above my donation amount and it is the only one I have. Mybe because it is a debit card?

Signed up to this site 'cause I wanted to contact someone who frequents it as I couldn't find his e-mail address. I've read posts on this site several times over the last few years and find it to be a good one.

Been shooting competitive high power matches since the mid 1960's and smallbore prone since the early 1990's. While my abilities on the firing line have faded with age, I still enjoy keeping up with tools, trends and techniques folks use to put all those bullets into one small area at some distant point.

Evening all, have been lurking for a couple of weeks, great forum, lots of good info and discussions. Looking forward to this group.

Live in Humble , TX. Quit BR shooting 25 years ago and fooled around and let a coworker get me back into it again this year. Currently reloading and shooting a 6PPC in VFS matches (was a group shooter back in the day). So much for spare money now!!!!

Hello Folks,
Just found this forum a week ago. A little bio-- 21 yrs. LEO, live in the beautiful State of MI, spent 18yrs behind a Rem. 700 .308 (modified). Got into the M1A platform and got my a** handed to me at a local fun shoot. Now, I'm back in the precision rifle game currently building a .243 win through a Rem 700/ Bartlein barrel. Hope to learn a bunch!
Todd

Hello all -
Visited this site a few times before and a bunch lately so decided I would register. Been reloading for about three years now (first pistol, then rifle) and I feel I can't get stop the itch to learn more about the art. I currently load mainly .223 for my Savage LRPV, but recently built an AR SPR rifle that I am splitting my time with now too. Hope to learn as much as I can here!

Wolfish from the Western Slope of Colorado checking in here with an introduction of sorts, ;) About to build myself an AR 6.5BR variant for hunting and competition and figured what better place to get the best info than 6mmbr and the forums here! This is a great community, very active and very friendly so far! Hope you all won't mind the barrage of questions I'll most likely be throwing around..

Wolfish~

Hi Guys, My name Is Thomas S.
I am 14 years old, I live in N.C.
I am an avid hunter with a passion for accuracy. I love to get really nice speeds with heavy bullets along with superb accuracy. My grandpa and my dad are both gunsmiths. My favorite gun as of the moment is my Remington 700 with a 27 1/2 inch Creiger <-- (hope i spelled that right) barrel, this rifle is topped with a Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x56 with the velocity 1000 reticle. It is chambered in the 300 Steelman which is a caliber my grandpa developed in the 80's that has slightly better ballistics than a 300 RUM. I am learning much from my family and hope to learn even more from this sight.

Hi,
My name is Gary and am from SW PA. Have always been interested in accuracy, but have only ever played with factory guns, some of which i have loaded for that will shoot extremely well (less than 3/8) at 100 yds. I just bought a semi-custom 6BR and want to learn how to make something REALLY shoot. Any and all info that I can get here will be "an old dog that is learning new tricks".

Hey guys and gals, I am new to this site and forum. I live out here in the prairies of the Texas Panhandle. I have been reloading for many years, mostly for hunting and prairie dogs, but very interested in long range target shooting now. I am in the process of converting one of my 22-250's to a 6XC after shooting it at Holland's Long Range Shooting School recently. My next step is to purchase a chronograph. I have a recommendations for the Oehler 35P but also saw the PVM-21 had very high marks as well. What is your opinion on chronographs? Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi All,
Looks like a super nice Site here. I am retired and was into shooting and reloading several years ago and gave it up. After retiring I decided to work a little part time and ended up going to work in a small gun shop. I decide I was going to bring out the reloading equipment boxed up and get back into shooting and don't think I took too many paydays after that. I took guns instead. as a result I now have a nice Ruger stainless 220 swift and a Older heavy barrel Ruger 22-250 That I have not fired yet out of several in the gun safe. I have been able to pick up about 500 rounds of once fired remington brass for each of the rifles. I was digging around in my other stuff and found a bunch of Serria 52 gn. HPBT bullets and about 10lbs of IMR4350 and H4350 powder. I also have a lot of 4895. The bullets and 4895 were for a long gone Remington 700 22-250. I had a great load for that one but wanted to ask if anyone has used the 4350 powder with any success in these rifles. I am still digging for my old loading manuals.
Thanks in advance

Hi, I,m Larrydean I live in So. Ga. .I have a T/C Encore in 7mm-08.I had all but given up on this gun. Misfire after misfire etc. I sent it back to the factory twice and both times they sent it back telling me there was nothing wrong with it . Then I found Mike Bellm's website and no more misfires. Thank you Mike and Kurt. I'll be posting more soon,Thank's.
