Welcome to the Reloading Forum -- Introduce Yourself

Hey everybody. I'm Neil. My current experiment is to see how cheaply I can build an effective deer rifle. I bought a .243 Rossi single shot and put a Simmons 8-pointer scope on it, and I'm using a Lee classic loader to reload the cartridges. Less than $280 and I'm closing in on MOA at 100yds. JUst swapped to flat base 100grainers and I hope thats gonna help. Glad to be here.

Hello All
Play with 22-250 carbon fiber barrel, 6.5 700 Rem, 7MM Mag Ruger action,
Mainly all I do is targets as I live in contry and can shoot 400 yds next to my shop. Like to play with different loads, Kids say I gotta start loaing by book cause Im gettin to old (72) and could goof. Anyway all of you have a wonderful site here and looking forward to learning more.

Fellows: Rick in Oregon here, just a few flaps of the crows wings from Nosler. Former Navy (amphibious assault, RVN '66), grew up on a ranch in BC, have been handloading since coming back to 'the world' in '67. My primary interest is smallbore varmint rifles, I was the inventor and manufacturer of the BR Pivot portable rotating benchrest for a decade prior to selling the patent. Now retired, busy prepping cases and rifles for the upcoming ground squirrel season here....my passion.

Great site....have lurked for some time, always looking to learn something new, and this seems like the place for that! :)

Hi All,
have already posted a few times, but thought I should introduce myself.

Got back into shooting 8years ago after a long break. One thing led to another and I started reloading to get the best out a .223 varmint rifle, then a .270. Have done some reloading for a couple of friends, and now I'm getting a 6.5x47 Lapua built on a Rem 700 action. So I'm busy getting set up for loading for that.

By the way, I live in New Zealand, like to hunt everything from rabbits and magpies to Red Stags and Bull Tahr. The 6.5x47L is primarily for hunting, but should see some range time too.
cheers
Brendon

Greetings everyone
Bjarni Thor Haraldsson from Iceland checking in. I am relatively new to accurate shooting and reloading. I have two Sako vixen´s in .222 and they shoot just great, I use wilson dies and an arbor press to reload with.
Love the site by the way.

Greetings, from northern B.C. My name is Paul. I shoot. I reload. I have too many projects on the go (some will work, most will fail, but I love trying). Happy shooting to you all.

Hey I'm Mama A,
My husband is teaching me to reload, so I thought it would be a good idea to get on here and hear what others have to teach as well. I'm a gun nut and have a gun as well www.blingandabang.com I'm just getting into competitive shooting, so thats another reason for me to learn more about it. I look forward to learning lots.

Good Day Gentlemen,

I'm new to reloading and so will be reading of your experience with great fervor. I mainly shoot red fox, but like a bit of target work too.

Just signed on after reading and lurking for awhile. Load 380,45 223,308 and 30-30. Been loading on and off for 30 years, turning more serious as I try to get into benchrest and accuracy. Dallas/Ft Worth area. Anyone know of a range over 100yds around here?

Bill

I have been reading this forum for some time now. There is a lot of useful info here and look forward to sharing what I can and using what I learn. Currently load for a family of rifles that starts at a 17 Fireball, then goes to a 204, a 260 AI and a 6.5-284. There are some handguns and some big game rifles in the inventory. I find longrange Prairie Dog shooting fascinating, in particular, with the subcalibers.

Hey,, Rusty from Wyoming,,Novice at reloading ,but am being taught by an advanced reloader,, my wife blames him for my new passion,, shooting 223, 22-250AI, 7mm-08, 7mm , 30-06, and 2 classy savage rim fires,,looking at getting the new Savage 12 F/TR's in 7mm and 223 ..want to see what the 30" barrels will do

New member here. Been shooting and competiting for a lot of years. I have just in the last year started shooting "F Class" after many years shooting and competiting in BPCR Silhouette. I have always been a reloader and would like very much to see what you guys are saying and doing, it's always good to add some new intel to way we do things.

I am here because:
1. To become a better shooter
2. Learn more about reloading. I got started in October 2010

I hope to be around here more often!

Hello, Kenny here from Nova Scotia, Canada. Been reloading for around 20 years, just getting back into it again after a short pause (nobody to shoot with) My oldest boy started reloading/shooting with me last year at the age of 15, gave him my 30-06 featherweight when he shot his first deer, a 7 point whitetail. He since bought himself a T/C Venture in .308 and is deadly with it. My latest is a Savage M10, .243 and it is AWESOME, love it.
Anyway, see yas on the board.

Hey guys & gals, Jeff from N.Ca. here. Been enjoying this site for a few weeks now withouy having registering. Now i want to ask some questions & take advantage of all the knowledge available so here i am. I am waiting for my new 260 AI to get done, not to patiently i might add, & want to start prepping brass. my question is, what is the best brass to start with. I am not fond of Remington brass & am under the impression they & maybe Lapua are the only manufacturers of factory 260 brass. If i want to use Winchester brass what should i start with, .243, 7mm-.08, etc. or are there other viable options? Also would appreciate any imput on fire forming loads. i dont care how they shoot only about properly forming the case while not using up any more throat life than necessary.

Good morning. I'm Doug and home is in the Quad Cities.

I enjoy shooting but reloading is my passion (it's like knitting for men). I happened on this site and have used the information as a starting point when chasing down facts on a topic. My reloading equipment is based around a single stage press. I'm not too concerned about mass production. I started off with the very basics and added equipment as I found better ways of doing things.

Hi I'm tim.
I go to college and shoot between classes at the local range.
I work at very pro gun jobs and get to work on guns or learn about them all day everyday. I am building my first 6mm rifle in 243 win right now. I have a very personal affection for 22lr target guns. I work for a gunsmith in exchange for services and free beer and parts. Get paid to clean guns for 10 hours a day at my other job so dont clean my guns to much anymore.
Also if anybody knows of a 300 yard+ range within 100 miles of jacksonville FL would LOVE to here about it.
