Hello All,

New to the board and new to reloading. I just started reloading for my .223 and my .308. I will begin reloading for my .243 shortly and I'm very interested in 6mmBR. I just joined a local gun range and I'm looking foward to learning about reloading and competitive shooting. 8 yrs military, 4 years LE. and countless hours in the feild hunting and plinking. I'm ready to take it to another level, so I'm sitting here like a sponge ready to absorb knowledge. :)

Hello, I am new to Benchrest shooting, but not to reloading or shooting. I have always loved accuracy in any type of rifle. I have strived to improve every rifle I have ever owned by accuracy work on the rifle and reloading for them. I have been reloading for 30 plus years and over that period of time have collected a few very accurate hunting rifles. Now this Benchrest thing has really got me reenergized again. I am a dialysis patient and cannot go on long hunting trips. I can however go on a weekend and shoot a match. I love to shoot 22 LR matches and the 300 and 600 centerfire matches. Hope to hear from U guys and Girls on the forums.

Welcome Rooster and Boone! Well you found the right site. There are many good folks on the site that will help you with whatever you need helping with. Some of the best along with the best shooters on the planet are on this site and more than willing to assist.

Hello All,
New to this forum, accuracy is an addiction of mine in any rifle I own. I am located in Australia, looking forward to learning more by being here.

Steve

Hello All,

I am here to try learn a little more about reloading before I make the decision and investment to dive into it. I am currently located in Georgia and while I'm not new to long range shooting I am new to the idea of reloading. I just recently started shooting in F-T/R with my .308 and since then I have had my stock Remington 700 .243 action trued and a Krieger gain twist barrel installed(1-8.75 to 1-8.3). This will be the first rifle I begin reloading for as quality match ammunition isn't as sheap and readily available as it is for my .308. Looking forward to learning from some experienced reloaders.

Thanks,
Joe

Welcome Joe! You have taken another step towards a very satisfying (and frustrating at times) hobby. Jump in and enjoy.

Checking in from the great state of Wyoming. I have been shooting (competitively and for sport) for most of my life. I've been reloading for a couple of years now and am also getting into benchrest and longrange shooting. Looking foward to expanding my knowledge of shooting and reloading.

Hello everyone!

I'm a new shooter and reloader starting out in 300yrd F class down in San Diego, CA. I really appreciate this site and all the contributors. It was one of the main reasons I started to actually think about accuracy and competition. Look forward to learning from you all as I progress through longer distances. Regards, Al

Hi folks, just a small- town guy from Ailsa Craig Ontario Canada.
Been small- game hunting and target shooting for over 40 years. In my younger days, I handloaded .223 and 12 ga using a Lee "whacka-press", and had great fun. After taking a lengthy break from reloading, decided to get more involved. Have joined the local gun club, got a Marlin 336C 30-30 in anticipation of some hunting. Got a Lee 50th Anniversary kit, with the carbide dies, including a factory crimp die, and have been ventilating lots of paper with the Sierra 150 gr FN, 2.5" groups at 100 yds.
Just got some Hornady 140 gr monoflex and some Leverevolution powder, used 34.1 gr, and it throws 14" groups (actually I think that makes it a shotgun. ;-)) at 100 yds. Has me puzzled. See entry in the reloading forum.
Most enjoy shooting my Ruger .22, and my 5 mm magnum (for which I can again get ammo, and dont have to use the 30 yr old Remington factory loads I squirrelled away.
Really enjoying being back on the range, and meeting other guys who love to talk guns endlessly!
Now I just have to get this bullet problem solved.

Dsly,
Welcome to the forum, enjoy and ask lots of questions. As far as your last statement, a lap full of guns is enough?? I am in deep trouble, if I piled all my guns on my lap I would break both legs and both feet from the ones that fell off on them LOL

greetings all I am from sw ontario canada and after 12 years out I am comin backin wow things have changed f/class has me interested and I am ready to start reloadin soon.

Greetings to all. I am an avid reloader, head stamp collector, scientist and seeker of knowledge. I have an on line store where I sell reconditioned pistol brass for reloaders to finance and supply my head stamp collecting hobby. I post a blog titled reloading facts and fiction, which deals primarily with brass cartridge cases. I am interested in factual information regarding cases that can be confirmed. My current interest and one reason for joining your forum is to ask if anyone knows how to obtain information on brass manufacturers. I have anecdotal information that the Olin corporation makes the brass cases for several ammunition makers around the world but have never been able to get them to share this information, nor have I been able to find confirmable data. Same for Federal. Any direction or help would be greatly appreciated.

drmarkwg,
Welcome to the forum, there is a wealth of information on here and some of the nicest people you will ever meet, we don't have the cat and dog fights that other gun forums are plagued with, not that there isn't ever a disagreement but it's a pretty good place and you could usually always let your mother read the posts. I don't believe many read this thread you should re post your request on the main message board, best of luck.

Hi, I have recently re-discovered reloading and shooting after a 20+ year hiatus. The articles and the forum Q&A on this site have been a boon to me. Whenever I needed info on anything related to shooting, reloading, rifles etc. I found it here. Although I must say that reading all the articles on rifles has caused me to add to my collection so much so that I now have to buy another safe. By the way, the article on buying a safe I am using as my primary guide. I am looking forward to learning more about reloading, accurate shooting and varmint hunting. Many thanks for all the good advice I have gleaned from these pages over the past year or so. Regards, Ron...

Everyybody just calls me Boone, and I am kin to Daniel. He is a very distant uncle. I love to hunt and fish. I mainly deer hunt now. Other than that I love to fish. My main hobby is shooting. I shoot 22 matches with my two Anchutz 54 Match rifles. One is Fac. HB and the other is a custom gun with a tuner. I have several deer rifles and two match rifles. One is a Savage Model 10 predator in 6.5 Creedmoor. The other is a custom gun on a Model 7 action with a Kreiger SS barrel, a Tubbs recoil lug in a Carl Bernosky stock. My best match so far is a 100 7X. The average two shot group size in the five bulls was .991" at 300 yds. Hope to make good friends with some of U guys close to me.

wmdron,......Boone,
I would like to welcome the both of you, this is without a doubt the greatest gun forum on the www,....enjoy :)
