Welcome to the Reloading Forum -- Introduce Yourself

Greetings all,
Found this site while researching load data. I'm retired U.S. Coast Guard (where I got interested in shooting). Nowadays, I like to target shoot and just started getting into reloading .32ACP, .44 mag/spcl, .223/5.56 and 9mm. May be looking at .308 match down the road. Looks like a great site, I think I'll like it here!!

I am from the People's Republic of Illinois. I don't reload a great deal, and have only been doing it for a couple of years, but have enjoyed doing it so far.
Mostly interested in hunting, so I usually load hunting bullets, working up accurate loads for hunts which may or may not take place :-).

I reload .223 for my AR-15; .308 for my bolt gun; and .243 for my bolt gun.

Hello all,

I've been coming to this site for years, and never registered until recently. I've been trying to slowly get some stuff together for some informal short-range benchrest and just picked up a 1:14 twist 6mm I'm having chambered in 6BR Norma.

I've been reloading for handguns (USPSA) and Service Rifles (DCM AR-15 and M1A) since about 2007, but this will be my first venture chasing the .1s and .2s.

Hello, my name is Scott but my friends call me "Lucky"
I have been on this site many times but just registered so I guess I am a new guy.
Been collecting old antique Russian and commie guns and started trying to shoot long distance shooting with them. Finally decided that the time had come to step up and get something more modern. I picked up a remington 700 in 7mm Rem Mag and did some work to it. All the precision shooters tell me I need to reload if I want to shoot far and so I just started reloading this January. Now I am hooked! I really enjoy reloading but I know I have a lot to learn.
I load for my 7mm with a RCBS single stage press and I load .38 special handgun on my Dillon progressive.
Next leaning curve will be .223 and 9mm handgun ammo, but for now I am just concentrating on the 7mm and the .38s
This is a nice site and I am glad to finally be part of it.

Signing in for my first post to say thank you to all. I have been a long time lurker , coming back and forth for at least 7yrs or longer maybe. Trying to remember when I purchased my first AR that lead me to this board as it was built to shoot tight groups. Haven't really got there yet, life and its ups/downs, but then Eriks thread"Long Range Load Developement at 100yds" has given me the itch to attempt accuracy again that and some co-workers just got back from a p-dog hunt and I believe I may have an invitation some day.

So plans going forward, find a load for my 20" RockRiver AR and maybe find something to shoot farther for a second p-dog weapon.

Retired Army Officer with enlisted time. Does not shoot competitively, plinks, long distance for fun. Handloads.

New here and pretty new to rifles in general. I've been reloading for about a year and have worked up accurate loads for .223 and .308 in stock and custom 700 actions. Gas gun is next on the list.

I'm a nerd by profession and this place seems to have by far the most knowledge when it comes to what makes a rifle accurate. I'll probably be annoying and ask a bunch of questions that have already been asked. I hope you guy's will put up with it until I can contribute meaningfully.

Otherwise, I primarily shoot rifles and pistols. Pistol because I carry and it is convenient as there are no fewer than 7 clubs/ranges near me that do either a steel match or practical shooting match, but the rifle stuff is where my nerd brain kicks in and I want to understand the system and exploit it to hit what I am aiming at. Shooting distance is about a 3 hour car drive away, but I try to make the drive as often as I am able.

Hey everyone, I just joined I have been lurking for a while finally joined, I enjoy trying to get my 3006 into one hole so I figure if I joined you guys could help me with that...

Kinda new here so I thought I should start with a short intro. When I was farming in the mid 1970's, groundhogs were eating my soybeans from a distance that a 22 LR would not reach out to.
I found a model 700 sporter in 222 Rem at the local hardware store and mounted a 10X Lyman on it. (still have the rifle, scope is gone) Well, I killed 13 that summer and along then, also started reloading. I've been playing with rifles most of the time since that crude beginning, have learned a few things along the way and still have a few more to learn.
Gonna sit back here, do some reading and if I see something I might can contribute to a thread, will chime in.

Hey guys, been lurking for a while and thought I'd finally sign up. Odds are I'll read a lot and post a little. No rookie, but obviously guys here with a lot more knowledge!

Hi everybody, I am just getting started in re-loading. I found some reloading equipment in my grandpas basement and he said I could have it all. It's pretty old but I think it is all functional with minimal rust. there is also what looks like a good amount of milsurp powder and i purchased a tumbler and .223 dies at an auction. haven't started yet, just getting everything together and doing lots of reading. Any advice for a beginner would be appreciated!

hello all, another new member from Australia here. ;D

I'm looking forward to building my knowledge and hopefully being able to contribute a little

Good evening from the Love's truck stop in Gulfport Miss. I, am only at the house a few day's a month and when I'm there I, spend as much time reloading and shooting as possible.

I, tend to lurk more than post, but hopefully when I, add my 2 cent's worth it will be worth at least that much.

I was referred to this forum by a friend a few days ago and enjoyed reading the posts so I registered yesterday and have already replied to several posts. My name is Clyde Kunz but I noticed most folks do not use their real name so I used T-REX for my user name since I am one of the "old guys" as they are referred to on this forum. I live in Middle Tennessee and we have several nice ranges in the state. I have a technical background and am always interested in the data that is the basis for statements of facts or opinions that are given. I find a lot of opinions that are given are not based on sufficient data for the statements that are made so you will find me challenging folks to share the data that is the basis of their statements of facts or opinions. One thing that I have learned is that groups do not get smaller as you shoot more shots into them. I have been active in NRA and CMP (formally DCM) competition for many years both as a competitor and a leader. Most of my experience is with the M14 but I now also shoot the AR some and have a rifle suitable for 1000 yard competition. I shoot the National Match Course (aka XTC), Mid Range and Long Range. I also help with clinics and training for beginners just getting started into the High Power Rifle competition sport.
