Welcome to Our New Pistol and Handgun Section

Great addition to the site Thanks!
I recently picked up two of these H&R model 929 22LR
I spent a day cleaning- then off to the range--took a bit of "Tuning" on the sights--had to replace one rear blade--had to hone the cylinder bores as spent cases were sticking--all in all easy stuff and in the end I have two 22's that just shoot great! They are both surprisingly accurate --the 6 inch barrels balance very well and the grips are smaller than they look adding a very comfortable grip even for smaller hands--the wife claimed one and said she really liked the balance and grip feel--she did quite well with it --she kept a drink can dancing at 15 yards easy as pie .
I will keep an eye out for more as they can be real values--only paid $135 for the first one--they make great gifts to those nephews etc --USA made--every uncle had one in the tackle box etc -not fancy but solid value in these times

Thanks again for the hand gun Forum!

My "handgun life" would have to be described as old and eclectic.
The most modern self defense handgun I've got is a Beretta FS92.
Been a revolver guy mosta my life, and will always love them, but I need to get a clue about some more carry-able, higher capacity handguns -- which there are bazillions of these days. I know very little about most of em, and I don't own any of the nice dot sights that abound these days.
I'm an Oregonian, and we're still waiting to see if we're gonna become a "ten round" population. Things will be so much safer when all the criminals turn in their high-cap mags.

Another thing that's good about a handgun section, is that it's easier to get a full pic of a pistol. Here's my idea of gratuitous pistol porn.

I have become a revolver fan in the past few years.

I have always liked the 41 mag. In fact I never even owned a 44 Mag until I inherited my dads Model 29.
