Took some of my spare time this weekend to work on my 223AI project. Got the bedding done. Now i just have to get the mag hardware to work. I have a 223 case family follower and spring i need to adapt to 308 family BDL floorplate and mag box.

You can get the correct mag box and follower here on the classifieds.I am sure someone has what you need for cheap.That way you dont have to alter what you have and maybe list what you have for trade only.I hope this helps and keep us updated on the project as it looks good so far.The most important thing is you can show people your skills. Have a happy new year. By the way ,which epoxy did you use? and is it wrinkle finish paint?

Yes, get a box ment for the .223, it'll save alot of grief. Bottom metal is all the same in SA, never noticed any difference anyway.

I used devcon Aluminum putty. In the assembled pic the action looks that way from the release agent. I spray it on thick and wipe it thin on the areas i need it. I use welders spatter block spray. its damn near impossible to wipe off but leaves no affect in the finish of the devcon. I will post more pics later this week as it progresses.
