Weaver T-36 Question....

R.Morehouse

Gold $$ Contributor
I just purchased a nice T-36 and mounted it today. Much to my surprise, it has a raised fine crosshair reticle. This is not an issue, as I use a March fixed 50 with a raised reticle on another gun. But I can't find where that was an option offered by Weaver, and was wondering if anybody knows of someone at some point who was offering that swap as a service on the T-36 in the past.....Thank you for your input.

Regards
Rick

Most likely Bill Ackerman, Optical Services Co, still run by his daughter Cheryl. He designed the T series or at least the original steel tube model. I'm not sure what, if anything changed with the aluminium tubed models., and whether they continued to work on them.

There was also a fella in the Pacific North West who boosted scopes and may also have done reticle swaps but I can't remember his name now, passed away a few years ago. His name may come back to me.

I'm sure there are a few others who have changed reticles over the years

Thanks for the input. I put the scope in a set of Jewell rings, with the live centers and mounted it on an older build, Hall actioned 6ppc, from Clarence Hammonds. Next nice day we have, I am looking forward to sighting it in.
