Weaver scope

Im thinking of getting a T24 for my f class rifle, but this action gets a varmint barrel screwed into it occasionally and goes into other stocks that are more suitable for drive around varminting. I do most of this with a scope set at 10 power so was thinking of getting a V24 instead so I can change the magnification around. Is the V24 scope using the same tracking system to the T series? And will the super slam sunshades available fit a V24?

I've got a couple of the V24s...one on a 22lr and the other on a tactical 308Win. I was pleased enough with the one on the 22lr that I bought another for the 308. They've served my purposes well and seem to track well and the semi target turrets lend themselves easily to changes without being a bulky full target turret. Clarity is reasonable for a moderately priced scope with the magnification range they have. The V24s come with a sunshade included but I don't know about their interchangeability with other models. Satisfied customer here.

I've had several V series over the years and they all have been very reliable on the adjustments.
I shot smallbore silhouette w/a V24 and the zeros always stayed exactly the same through all the "clicking" that was done.

Had 1 V-24 on my 600 yd prone gun for about 6 yrs and it never changed a bit.
The others were on various deer and/or varmint guns.

The only reason I sold them was to fund the purchases of several Sightrons of higher power.

Just from my experience of a driving the country side rifle, a 24X scope would be way to much power. (at least for me and our region it would be) I like a 3x9 for that purpose and i rarely take it up past about 5 power. But to answer your question the weaver t series scope line is a good value. I have a 36X that i trust 150%!! Good luck friend! Lee

good for the money.i can see holes at 600 with my v24.i like the varmint ret.the milldot is too heavy for me. tracking is very good.i think its dif than the t series.
