Weaver Scope Repair options?

+1 for Ironsight in Tulsa OK.

They have repaired 3 El Paso Weavers for me.
Be advised - don't be in a hurry. They will, or at least did in my case, take about a year for repairs.
Prices are more than fair.

-1 for Ironsight in Tulsa. I had one experience with Ironsight about 4 years ago and it was not good. I had a 1.75", 20X Unertl that needed repair. From my initial contact with them until they allowed me to send them the scope was almost a year. Then it took about 6-8 months for them to do the repair, but the price was fair. I get it, they are busy so the time was really not a complaint.

What was an issue, was when I got the scope back I went to screw the front lens cover on and it wouldn't fit. After examining the front bell of the scope carefully I found that the scope had apparently been dropped on a concrete floor and hit right on the edge of the bell, deforming it to the point the lens cap wouldn't thread on. You could also see an "abrasion" where it hit something rough.

I sent them an email, with pictures etc. Their response was that it must have happened in shipping. I told no way, in fact I had a very difficult time unpacking it, it was packaged so well. After 3-4 phone conversions, the final one with the owner or manager of the company, they told me to send it back to them and they would look at it, which I did. No contact from them for several weeks, I knew they got the scope because I sent it "signature required".

To make a very long story short, ultimately after 4-5 months and 6-8 phone calls I got the scope back. It was fixed perfectly, with absolutely no evidence that it had ever been damaged. So I have no complaint with the quality of their work. What really pissed me off the most was that someone knew they dropped it (probably in shipping) and just sent it back to me anyway as well as their unwillingness to acknowledge they were at fault - never an apology.

Severely limited unless you have an old steel tube El Paso Weaver. If you do, Iron Sight or Cheryl Ackerman.
