Weatherby vanguard rear tang question

Hello, anyone know if the rear tang should be flush with the top edge of the stock? I just bought the Vanguard. 308 model. The rear tang of mine sticks up about 1/8" above the surrounding stock? I just don't want to wait too long if it should be sent back. Thanks!

I received a photo from another forum and it was just like mine so I guess it's just the way it's made.
