Infighting between gun groups is exactly what the anti gunners want. United we stand, divided we fall. That’s true statement.
“NRA In Danger” on Word Press sounds like a really reliable source of information. I’ll tune into MSNBC right after I read the article.
The organization has been very poorly run for many years. Nobody gets on the board or is allowed to run without Wayne's OK. It's not a majority rule, it's a dictatorship and has been since Wayne took over. He is not able to discuss issues without yelling or screaming. He is not a 'problem solver', he causes problems. His salary as been way above what other 501 (3) C organizations pay. His wife was on the pay roll also. He is definitely not an ethical or honest person. I was a 'life member' when the NRA had fewer than 1 million members, I quit 30 years ago. I won't join an organization such as gun collectors or shooting range where NRA membership is required.
Never disagreed with the need for a clean up at the top of the organization. Actually in full agreement with you and anyone else who has stated that. I just disagree with the negative approach. The NRA has far more depth than WLP and the board. There are thousands of employees who dedicate their days to training, safety, lobbying, litigating, and countless other pro 2A initiatives. There are 5 million plus members who have a common goal to support the “little guys” in the organization who are doing the actual work. So don’t just focus on WLP and his cronies. Most of the money goes elsewhere. It’s the Attorney General of NYS who wants the members to think otherwise so they stop contributing to the most powerful 2A lobby in Washington. (She’s behind the lawsuit for those who are wondering. She campaigned on destroying the NRA)."In-fighting" is what requiring upstanding behavior of "leaders" and "representatives" might be called, I suppose. But ugly under-handed behavior is hard to support. Is what it is.
Whomever might enjoy a dumpster fire (ie, the antis) is beside the point. The clean-up is needed, as is tightening of controls and adamant leadership by the Board. Without it, it'll continue bleeding money and undermining their standing, authority and weight as a lobby group.
Whether the N.R.A. cleans house or not. I ll be a member because Im a life member. I dont send money anymore. Ole Wayne pissed alot of it away. They are still the big dog when it comes to the 2nd amendment. Thiis is exactly what the gun control crowd wants is turmoil in the ranks of the NRA. Clean house new blood and get back to normal. Doug

Fat chance that happens in your lifetime!I would like to ask you to reconsider and join the fight. WLP will get his in the end.

Martha was taxes, I agree very little. The NRA board allowed Wayne to spend the $, they knew what was going on.I would have been fired .....
and Martha Stewart did jail time for less.
Really? I'm in WA and have never seen any of my NRA contributions used to defend my Constitutional rights under 2A. The result is that those rights are nearly gone. The only thing I've ever seen my contributions used for is the production of marketing materials targeted at getting more money out of my pocket. They are wasting my money since they won't get a dime from me until the organization is purged top to bottom.Never disagreed with the need for a clean up at the top of the organization. Then hopefully it will back fire on her. And after things get cleaned up, some of us will faithfully fall back into theNever disagreed with the need for a clean up at the top of the organization.
