Not Darwinism, survival of the strongest. I can't tell you how many gullies, ditches or bodies of water filled with (imaginary) crocodiles and pit vipers I jumped. I am still here, and can feel every year sitting or walking. Growing up then had it's costs but wouldn't trade one dirt clod fight for it.

Dirt clods! By gumney that's how i learned to lead a grouse! I had a stupid friend who always tried to run round the pine tree whilst we were throwing clods at each other. I learned if i chucked it at the declining light space as the sunlight closed between his head and the tree....bird down!!!! A man, great memories! Worked great in the cage fights too...when another friend and I went at it with rotten super size tomatoes on the tennis court. My mom was so ticked as she dug tomato seeds outta his ear! I had that toss perfected!
