Pact Chronograph Customer Service

I've been using the Chrony Beta Master with remote readout. It works perfect for me. Really compact, sets up quickly on my tripod using a detachable mount and nice to have the remote readout on the shooting bench. All the velocities it gives me match up with a ballistics calculator to put me on target out to 1000 yards by utilizing the MOA drop calculations for scope elevation adjustment so it must be working correctly, or at least close enough. The SD's could be off a little, but its no biggie as long as the groups do not show vertical stringing at long range. I think I paid around $125 for it when it was on sale. Really dont see the need to buy anything more expensive IMO. Even if the readings are off by 5-10fps from the more expensive models, is it really worth spending all the extra money on a nicer unit? I personally dont think so...

I bought a new pact model 1 in 1993-4 when they 1st came out. Never worked CONSITANTLY well but it worked. All other pact stuff that I have works GREAT. So last year as I'm working loads for my 243 and I have 5 of one load and failed to read a single one on a perfect day with a new battery. I retrieved my trusty fix all and smashed that pos into very small pieces much to my shooting partners amusement and went and bought a beta master chrony and haven't had one missed reading since. By the way I ran the pact infront of a chrony and behind the same chrony and readings were always within 2-3 fps.

Sounds like you've got my temper when equipment doesn't work right ;) lol!

The old Chronys have always been reliable in my experiences. My father in law still has the very first model Chrony ever came out with, back when they only had one model. And its still kickin' just fine :)

I never had the chance to compare my Beta Master to any of the higher priced units. Its nice to hear that they are right in there with nearly identical readings. Its just timing the bullet from pint A to point B with a little math formula and Chrony has been doing it for a long time so I'm sure they've got it down right or they probably wouldn't be in business. Not to mention probably the most successful manufacturer (monetarily) of chronographs.

3 straight weeks I have called and was told "hopefully Monday" or "should be Monday" response each time. Each time I called, I asked them if they had my credit card info, my email info, and a good contact number. I'm not falling for the "we tried to contact you but didn't get anyone" excuse.

Today I called, and got the "it's going out today" response. I sure hope this is not another blow them off response.
