Wanted: 'Smith for 22rf f-class build

The barrels change like a 10-22, the chassis should fit if made right, what would you need a smith for?

There was a guy specializing in CZ's a while back. djdilliodon was his user name. Haven't seen anything form him in a while though.

For a Shilen barrel turned for the action and tuner, headspaced and glued in.

Trying to get away from the grub screw bbl mounting system.

If your going through the trouble to get away from the grub screws why not just get the receiver threaded and go that route?

I would, if it actually has enuf "meat" to be threaded. That's a "call" for the gunsmith who will do the work, but I'm certainly open to the idea.

Threading a CZ 457 receiver would be similar to treading a Anschutz receiver. Depending on the smith it will be somewhere between 20TPI-24TPI. Once indicated in the lathe they’ll square up the face to.
I know some do glue in barrels on Anschutz and Suhl receivers with the thought of it being stress free. Almost everybody shooting rimfire BR has a barrel threaded into there receiver so I doubt there is any real advantage of gluing in.
