A few of us friends went to the Rosebud res several years ago. They don't seam to have many dogs now. Would like to try some where different. That dosen't cost a arm and leg. Thanks in advance Mike.
WOW that's a bunch of holes!!!! 8)bheadboy said:when you get recomendations of a location, go to Google earth, and zoom in on the ranch, etc. yu will see if there any dog holes, and then you can inquire as to the owner, if they have been poisoned, deseased, etc. shot out.
just as an example go to just north and west of Syracuse, ks, and zoom down, you will not believe what you see. just north and slitely east of Medway.

That is why i'm asking shooters first. We live in Alabama and don't want to drive past SD.skidmarks said:In fact I have been to that very ranch, one year great shooting the next, virtually no dogs, drought and plague.
I checked that one out a little more than i want to pay.It might be to late this year to plan a trip. May start looking for next year.Gary in MD said:I hunted South Dakota with Jimriver guide service. It cost a few bucks, but when driving 22 hours, you want to make sure that you are going to have a place to shoot. Willie has plenty of ranches to shoot dogs. Price included food and place to stay.

PM his info if you don't mind. Thanks Mike.xphunter said:As of this past July, I know know a rancher who has dogs on his place, but he does charge.
I would need to check what that rate is, but I can find out if someone wants to know.
I met him during the Wyoming Tactical Rifle Championship. He was our Range Officer for our last field course.
