Waiting On A Suppressor.......

Maybe a bit of good news for those of us waiting on a suppressor to make its way through the system. I stopped by a local place here in SW Montana that does quite a bit of suppressor business, I asked what the status was with the new E-file system and was told that it's 8 or 9 months presently.. What really caught my attention was that they were informed by email from the ATF that they were intending to clear all paper applications by the end of November. After that it would be business as usual with the e-file applications and hopefully bring wait times down to some reasonable level.
I have one that I've been waiting on 11 months as of the end of next week so maybe there will be some progress.

The first two I bought were right at a year and that was 5 or 6 years ago with the paper forms. I am two months into one now with an eform, dont understand why its takes as long as it does.

The info that was passed on to me was that there was a window back in the first few months of 2022 where they were testing the e-file system and processed a number of those applications. Evidently they have prioritized the older paper apps now and are trying to clean those up. Thus the dramatic increase in approval time for the e form 4's.

I did an eform back in February. Was declined in july. Stated ssn does not match. Me and ffl looked paperwork over very close. All matches. I resubmitted next day... still waiting. That ffl has seen and heard of more denials since joe got in office. Dont know if thats true.

I started getting suppressors back before 41F took effect and I never waited more than 4 months. Once 41F took effect and the wait times went to 12+ months I stopped buying.
I bought my most recent one in January, right after e-file came online. I certified on Feb 4th and had the can in hand on June 8th.
I really like my SOT, but I refuse to give them an interest-free loan for more than 3-4 months because the Gubbermint can’t get their crap together.
