Vv N555 - which cartridges have you liked it in?

It does great in 6.5x47 Lapua with 139 scenars. I haven't tried it with lighter bullets. Very temp stable.

What have you all used it in?

7fcp w/180gr Bergers. SD is around 6. Bullets group well at 600 and 1000 yards

I tried it in 3 different 7mm wild cats and all based on the 284
Winchester from 190 gr bullets down to 130's, and varying
freebores in those cats. It did not shoot any better then H-4831,
and had a worse case fill. Sold it off......Ramshot Hunter ball powder
was tested along side it and did far better in both case fill and
accuracy. Hunter ended up to be my go to powder at 1000 yard
Ridgway with the 183 SMK's, until I switched to the faster 4451-End
which is no longer made......Been meaning to try N-160, but don't
shoot long too much any more.......

Tried it with a friends 6.5 CM and my 260AI with 142 gr. Sierra MK. Worked really well in both guns.

I am using it in my 2 6MMCM's. Excellent accuracy and good case fill with 107SMK's & Berger 108"s. My loads run at 2,950 from my RPR WOA Wilson and 3,000 even from the new Bartlein on my GAPrecision.

1903a3 sporter hunting rifle, undated Apex barrel. N555 57.5, 175 TMK, LC67 Match. Last month, I shot cold bore and quick follow up at 500 yards from last season's ammo. Mild wind day, 10 ring hold.


Nothing spectacular, but plenty good for taking down deer size game.

How is temperature stable is Ramshot Hunter?

Only shot it between 45 and 85 degrees. Shoots great and with
standard primers. No magnum type primers needed with this powder.
Testing it today in my 7.2 Greedmore and 150 SMK's today.

Yes. It's done very well for me with 185 and 200gn Berger Hybrids in a Barnard 'P' based F rifle.
