Vudoo V22 Bore Guide Source?

The J. Dewey Rem 40x bore guide will fit the Vudoo. If you have the new Gen 2 receiver which has an anti-rotation pin protruding into the action from the inside top, you will need to remove a very small amount of material from the top of the bore guide to clear the pin, but still allow for a snug fit. Sand paper or a file will work fine. No modifications needed on the Gen 1 receivers.

The 40X guide will work in the Gen 1 V-22, but not the Gen 2 and Gen 3. The new Vudoo/Boretech guide work in all three.

What's the difference between a Gun 1, 2 and 3? I got my Vudoo just a few weeks ago and assumed from its newness it'd be a Gen 2, but since my 40x bore guide works with it I guess it's a Gun 1.

I got the 40x version and it worked fine, though I do wish it had something to go in the bolt slot to keep it from moving as I like to use the vfg pellets so I need to keep my thumb on the guide to keep it from popping out as I pull back.

Here you go:

Thanks very much. I now know that mine is the Gen. 1.2. The good news is that my 40X bore guide works with it (OK, that's not really news but I thought I'd stretch the point just to say "good news"). The bad news is that I can't use the Brownells tool for my 40x & 700 to disassemble my bolt. It's not quite clear in the video -- does Vudoo sell the modified tool? It's not on their web site, unless I missed it.

Unfortunately not - I called Vudoo a week or two ago as I have the same problem, they suggested how to modify a standard tool to fit but they don’t offer one for sale.

Guess it’s back to a shoelace and curse words!

That truly sux. I don't know what tools I'd need to modify my 40x bolt disassembly tool, and I probably don't have them anyway, but even if I managed it then I'd need another tool for my 40x. I hope somebody will come out with a Vudoo bolt tool (hear me Mike?).

Based on our discussion, you’d need a mill and a drill press. They mill off the hook and add a pin to slip in the hole on the underside of the firing pin assembly.

I do have a drill press, but no milling machine. Or the skill of being able to use one if I did. But as I said, even if I did I'd then need a disassembly tool for my 40x bolt. I really don't mind buying another tool, but it'd be nice if I could get the one I need.
