Volocity

I'd say it's a wash if you use fireformed Lapua brass in both. Actually see guys running faster powders like H4895 in the BRA running faster.

Everyone I know in the PRS world runs both somewhere around 2900 give or take. Only difference we see is the BRA fireforms quicker/easier/accurately and has a longer neck. We don't chase the high end node. Atleast the shooters I know don't.

Don't chase FPS what others shoot.
Shoot what's most accurate with your combination.
It will vary.
I don't know how I found it but, I have a 6bra @3055 with 103g that shoots small.
A 6brdx that likes 2950 and another that likes 2970.

To further on that...I've shot mine from 2860-2950 with 108s and I've kept it under half moa at 100yds and it performs better than me for making steel ring.

I'm actually going to shoot true ladders at 300 or further with the next barrel and try to find the real sweet spot to keep it in tune. I'll get through the year with the current barrel and should be about done by then. Hard to find what's going on at 100 when it just shoots small. I've shot smaller groups. But not usually bigger. SD and ES is always acceptable.

Has just been easy to get along with.

I will say...mine shot very well with Varget last season. Out of nowhere it stopped. I clean every 100 rounds or so. Bore scope didn't show anything. Tried H4895 on a whim and brought it right back to life. I'm still confused. I ran a BIG seating depth test and everything with Varget and it just quit shooting it. It struggled to print half moa and when I stretched it out I knew something wasn't happy.

Does the 6 dashers give you more velocity than the 6 Bra ?
Yes, generally speaking, a Dasher WILL allow you to get more velocity. The Dasher case has more volume than a BRA case which will allow you to load more powder before you reach excessive pressures, which will give more potential for more velocity.

Ok thanks guys I think I will go with the bra volocity can’t be that much difference and it much easier to fireform if lapua made 6 Dasher I. Might go that direction I know Norma makes brass but i always used lapua
