6mmBRX vs Dasher

Anyone have any real comparison information on these two calibers? Accuracy, volocity in a long range rifle? I know the BRX is easier to reload for.

Thanks
George

I believe the only difference is the dies that it takes to load them. Ballistics are virtually identical and on target performance depends on who is pulling the trigger.

The BRX can be loaded without custom dies, Dasher not. Both have a 3020-3050 FPS sweet spot with a 107-105 gr bullet.

Both are very accurate and efficient cartridges that are at their best at 600 yds and if the wind isn't too strong, very good at 1000 yds.

Thanks Bob,
Any other of the 6mm that might be a little better at 1000 yds? I see a lot of Dashers and a few 6x47L on the Williamsport 1000yd lists of equipment no BRX's.

My goal is building a new rifle in 6mm for the 1000 matches.

Thanks

If your building one for 1000yd Benchrest, do not be detoured by the" hub-hub" you will here some state of them giving up in the wind. I advise to read/study results from 1000BR and you will repeatedly see the Dasher/BRX are repeatedly winning in all conditions, wind as well as calm.
For Long Range High Power and/or F-Class, then I feel there is some merit to the "hub-hub".
In Benchrest, the ability to "agg" is desired. The Dasher/BRX agg at 600/1000 like the PPC does at 100/200.

As to which is more accurate..... "a coin flip" ..... I consider them basically the same.

I agree with Donovan 100% I have owned both and there both top notch and equally accurate in my opinion.

George,

I had a 6BRBS Bill Snehane 6BR imp. I now shoot a 6BRX. I have done very well in IBS 600 yds. I will not change to a Dasher, because there is no difference between them. But if I was starting over, the Dasher has more dies, that would give it the edge now. I want spend the money to change over now. More people are shooting the Dasher. You want go wrong with either one.

Looks like they did more then fair, looks like Don Ashcroft won with a 6mm ;)
Wayne.

Thanks for the posting. Ashcroft won, but whats a 6BRY? Also quite a few 6-47L's and 6.5x47 in there too.

Where is this White Horse range?

Thanks
George

George, I assume it was a miss print and it is a 6brx although someone else may have made another variant of the 6br imp who knows?
