Voldoc-105 Hybrids 'carry the mail'

Voldoc paid a Sunday visit to my range to test
the hybrids at long range. We warmed the
Bat SB BRX up with the 105 Hybrids at 600 yd.
Muzzle velocity was 3,050 fps. 600 went very
well in the switchy winds and mirage.

Next Doc went to 700 yd and zeroed on the big
plate and shot a couple of shots. Now he was
ready to take on Ole Chuckie and Chico, the
Colorado prarie dog, at the 800 yd line.
Doc dialed the NF 42x up a few more MOA and
took a sighter. Dirt and grass flew up near
Chuckie. A minor adjustment and Doc was
ready for the kill. Doc took careful aim holding
the Seb Neo joystick and touched off one.
A half second later Ole Chuckie laid back with
a center mass shot to the chest, a heart shot.
Doc quickly loaded another round and moved
over to the smaller prarie dog. He touched the
Jewell trigger and sent another Hybrid on its way
toward destruction on heavy metal. Chico rocked
with another heart shot. Voldoc nearly touched
the one inch bullseye painted on Chico.

Here is the result of two consecutive shots at 800 yd.

My next trip to the range will be to shoot the hybrids
at 1,000 yd. I am hoping with their high BC they will outshoot
the 115's.

Great shooting. Hopefully can get my loads worked up for my brx. I got 500 107smk but I am now thinking of getting some hybrids to try.

Voldoc02,
That is terrible, your rifle must be out of tune,....you missed the black dot on both of them by almost a inch?? it was only 800 yards wasn't it?? maybe birdog can help you tune your load ;D ;) Congrats my friend, that's some shootin! I am going to have to start following you around, maybe some of your luck will rub off onto me, your in print everywhere I look ;D
Wayne.

P.S I have been having great results with the Hybrids in my 6brx as well, been awfully windy here but will hope for a good day soon, headed to the range now,..

Birdog,
I made it back from the match, I didn't do as well as planned, I think I have brass problems and I am going to form some new brass, I did real well except for a flyer or at least I thought it was good, you tell me. Load was Lapua brass, CCI 450 primers, 33.5 grains of Varget, 105 Hybrid .005 off the lands.,
group was 13.500" but 9 of them were 4.650 and .170 from center X

Edit to above post,
The one that went into the 7 ring was shot number 2, there were no condition change and I felt good, it was relay #3 about 9:45 a.m, slightly foggy but not bad, about 40-45 degrees, cloud cover, I could see the X at 1000 no mirage, the absolute perfect relay other then the fog and it was real light so no excuse there, the one that dropped into the 7 ring must have been brass or a bad load although I took the utmost of care in loading them, I pitched the case anyway.
