I thought we already did that with a 4473 form and the instant back ground check? Maybe someone can elaborate on this to teach me. Personally it is unconstitutional according to shall not infringe. This is another 1st step at ruining our past time and freedom. I apologize for the rant but this worries me a lot.

If I'm not mistaken, what they are after is every gun sale must go through a FFL and the process. No more face to face, no more gifting a gun to someone, no more passing a family gun down to kids, etc. It's all about control.

Lots of other language, but this is pursuant to the family issue.

Delaware has had similar laws since Sandy Hook. No more FTF between residents, family members exempt, etc.

Like everything else, these politicians don't know or even check the present gun laws on background checks, etc.
The new ones they come up with are after the FTC sales and other cases on that order. But they still can not see or believe that criminals will not comply with their new law and go through a background check, instead of just stealing and/or selling/buying on the black market anyway. Not one law they have or will pass as any effect on the criminal, just lawful citizen's and the goal of ridding the USA of the 2nd Amendment and then other Amendments, in time.

Yeeaahhh, we've got it in Oregon now, and I think the main result was to increase the value of used guns that aren't on the books.

Oh yeah, and a lot of folks who were previously law abiding citizens are now outlaws. jd

I heard the other day these no background check sales are out the roof, you know the ones where you get on the internet and buy guns with no background checks shipped right to your house. So these new background checks- are they logging your purchase? Remember there is no national gun registration so a background check and a wait they still dont know what you have so every gun is “off the books”

The only guns I know I can get off the Internet without a background check shipped to my door would be a muzzleloader they aren’t required to be registered or sent to an FFLThey are considered a primitive weapon I have only ordered two guns from companies off the Internet and both had to be shipped to an FFL before I could receive them

they passed it. along with a bunch of other B.S. we had a rather large rally at the capitol a few weeks back where they declared a state of emergency, etc. seems we are all a bunch of live wire, gun toting ready to kill folks and all.....except it was completely peaceful and the streets were completely cleaned before everyone left. The idiots still passed it even thou almost every county declared themselves 2nd amendment sanctuaries (only 4 counties in the state didn't out of 95). the only thing they didn't pass was the assault weapons ban. they postponed it until next year, you know, so "research" it, or in other words see how the election turns out in November. there are several exemptions in the universal background check, like if you meet at a gun range, etc. it seems stupid to me, and i think it is mostly directed at gunshows where guys have tables every time but no FFL. it seems the politicians have bent over for bloomberg or crawled under his desk to thank him for the funds to get elected, and not listening to the constituents of their districts. honestly i think most in the party are worried that the bills were passed that did, because they know they won't get re-elected. I think they awoke a sleepy majority just like obamacare did.

It has been a great sales boost locally thou. I know I went out and purchased 3 lowers myself... and will probably get a few more.....maybe I need one after all......

About 5 years ago, I went to Scotland on a fishing vacation. I spent a day with a guide who was a retired English Cop. We talked for a long time about gun control.
I asked him why I had seen LEO's in London openly carrying MP 5s and various other semi or full auto rifles, when 10 or so years ago, I never ever saw a cop with a gun in England. He told me the Romanian gangs had imported thousands of AKs and out gunned the LEOs in too many confrontations, so they had to pull out the heavy hardware just to survive.

This garbage will be coming to a state near you very soon . The "Elephant" theory . "ONE BITE AT A TIME" ! We have seen the anti-gunners take down Canada , Australia , and other nations with their rabid antigun rhetoric , and they seem to forget that "WE the People" know what has happened throughout history when the guns are taken away , or surrendered . Fascists' , Communists police states where only the "Elites" have rights , and the rest become subjects .
