Vihtavuori Powder Recommendations?

Hi,

Currently, loading 3 different calibers with the following powders:

1. .223 with H4895 (Hornady 55GR)
2. 6.5 creedmore with H4350 (bullet Hornady ELD Match 140 GR or similar)
3. .308 with Varget (bullet Hornady ELD MAtch 155GR)

What Vihtavuori powders for each of these have people found to be the most used, and pleased with?

I see a lot of N140, N150, N160...then some N550, N555...list goes on and on.

I loaded the Vihtavuori app, and even there is a number of choices for each...so no one powder seems to be a pick?

Is it possible to work with one powder for all of these, and provide accurate shots...to make life simple?

N 133 for the 223
N 160 for the 6.5 and 308, although 150 is a touch better in the 308.

I would vote N140 for the 308 155g. It is a direct substitute for Varget.

N150 for the 6.5 Creedmore with 140+ bullets.

223 also N140 for 50-80g bullets.

That is subject to your rifles ability to handle the pressure of a load. My rifles are all throated 0.160-0.200 and have the firing pins bushed. I cant give you velocity from my rifles because they are not representative of a factory chambering.

From an AR they (75g Hornady bthp w/cannelure) shoot 2900-2950 fps with a hot load of 24+ grains of N140.

The N555 is a better performer for speed. The N140 suits my application for my use and cost efficient without breaking the bank.

N-133 works well in .223 with Sierra 55 Blitz kings and Berger 52 Varmint.

Can't do this all the time for sure but 12-15 ES all the time when you try hard

nice...I have 2Lbs left of H4895 for .223....after that, will try N133. That has been mentioned by a lot of people.
Still using H4350 for 6.5, and Varget for .308. If those become real trouble to get, then will try the N140, N150, and maybe N555.
