Vibratory Tumbler Media and Polish

I have a good vibratory tumbler and have tried walnut shells and brasso but was not impressed. I have been using my rotary tumbler with ss pins and lemi shine, lemi rinse, and dish detergent with good results.

What is the go to media and polish for cartridge cases in a vibratory tumbler?

Thanks

I use lizard litter and Dillon polish. The lizard litter seems to me to produce way less dust than corn.

If you have very dirty brass and want to speed up the process, use the household cleaner KABOOM. Soak in the liquid for a few minutes and then RINSE THOROUGHLY. Dry on a cookie sheet at lowest oven temp. Then polish as indicated above. The Kaboom will remove all the powder stains on the neck. LDS

Using Frankford arsenal Walnut and corn cob in vibratory cleaner with Frankford polish but I'm not trying to remove carbon from inside case necks so I'm not using stainless pins and all that stuff.

So far no one has said it so I will....DON'T use BRASSO in your tumbler. The chemicals in it will weaken your shell casings. Throw that media out. It is now contaminated. See post #14. The Lizard litter from the pet store is cheap, finely ground so it won't clog the flash hole. Before you put any brass in it put in about a teaspoon+ of NuFinish car wax treatment in the media, kind of dependent on how big your tumbler is/how much media you are using. Let that run to mix for at least 10 minutes before you put in your brass casings.

Ok, so I have some new corn cob and new walnut shell media on hand. I have ordered Iosso.
How much Iosso should I use to pretreat the media? How much Iosso should I add to each batch of shells?
I am using an 18# Thumler's vibratory tumbler.

Do a test, do the rotary tumbler WITHOUT the ss pins, you'll be surprised. no pins to clean up or worry about leaving in the cartridge or the flash hole!

It tells you how much per pound. I can't remember the number.
