Vibratory Case Cleaner

My old Midway 1292 tumbler is getting tired and starting to run slower and slower so I think it's time for a new one.
I don't want to go down the wet SS route or US cleaner so as it's been about 15 years or more since I bought a vibratory cleaner I was wondering what's good and what to avoid!

Thanks Andy

I have 3 Dillon 2001s and they run forever - 15 + plus years and not a hick-up.

I have a Lyman....Turbo 1200(?). Purchased in the 80's (?) The reason I am not sure is most of the model number has long ago worn off. It is a Lyman and it has run flawlessly.

I imagine most vibratory cleaners will give you long service life. I chose a Thumler's Ultra-Vibe 10 because it's designed for rock polishing and engineered to run 24/7 for months on end.

I am with catshooter , the Dillon is like a small commercial unit and bombproof. It vibrates more vigorously than any one I have ever used or seen. I have owned them all and that is the true winner.

I use this one:

I found it to be a good value and it does the job quite well. Had it in service for five years with no issues.

I've got a Vibra-Shine and it's been used for 30+ years (think I bought it in 1983).

I have been running an RCBS vibratory tumbler since 1991 and it still works like the day I turned it on. Been through enough corn cob to fill a swimming pool! If I had an hour meter on it I could only imagine what it would read - I have left it on over night more times than I can remember.
I have always considered features like larger capacity bowls or features that make media separation easier - maybe one day when the one I have quits.

I have a RCBS since 1985 and have replaced the motor twice. It went out again last summer and decided that I wanted a larger capacity drum. So I bought a Ultra Vibe-18 and so far I am impressed. It is built like a tank, considerably quieter than the RCBS and cleans as well if not better.

I realize that I'm a little late, but most of the vibratory cleaners that I've seen has a small (usually a "C" frame type) motor in the base with a weight to make it run out of balance. Try taking it apart and clean and lube the bushings or bearings. If it has bushings there's an oil made spacifically for them by 3-in-1 if you can find it. Paul
