Harbor Freight 18# Vibratory Cleaner

Some times Buster Knuckle Tools will Surprise You. I have used Tumblers, Small Vibratory Case Cleaners and even a modified cement mixer to clean brass. Last week the fan in my small MidwayUSA vibratory case cleaner lost a fan blade. The unit is about 10 years old and had many nights of 24 hour runs.
I was I the market for a larger Vibratory case cleaner. I looked at the Dillon, RCBS, Hornady, Lyman, MidwayUSA, and Cabelas, Vibratory Cleaners. I looked at Northern Tool and Harbor Freight. Northern Tool did not stock the 18 pound Vibratory cleaner in their web catalogue. I stopped by the Harbor Freight store and they had their 18 pound Capacity vibratory cleaner on sale for $164.00. I bought one last Thursday night and took it to my shop on Friday. I buy walnut hulls in the 40 pound bag and quickly loaded up my new Harbor Freight 18 pound vibratory cleaner. Doctored up the media with some mineral spirits and Berrys brass cleaner. Started about 9:00 a.m. I ran four loads of 1000 pieces of 45 ACP brass. It all came out looking like new brass. I will say I was more than pleased.

Should have bought a Dillon. ( I am only kidding) This is a plug for Dillon, 1989 I bought there big tumbler( it gave up last year ) after 10s of thousands of cleaned cases ( I have three shooting buddy's that used it more than I did) sent it to Dillon with a note in the box asking if they could rebuild it, if not through it in the dumpster and I would buy a new one. They sent me a new one NO CHARGE, that is a real no BS warranty. Carl in Yakima

Nate I've had a harbor junk 18lb tumbler for two or so years. Its been a good unit so far. It really has a nice tumbling action to it compared to some I've had and it pretty quiet to boot.

I have the smaller harbor frieght vibratory tumble for a couple of years now. Had no problems with it. I have loaded it down handles it well.

My brother has one of these, he says it is the best tumbler on the market, and he should know! This tumbler is made for cleaning tools so the motor action is dramatic compared to regular tumblers that are made for turning brass.
