I hope its not true. I really enjoyed the magazine. Real life articles from hardcore shooters and varmint hunters are hard to find. Too many magazines today are filled with a^&kissing because their livelihood depends on getting more samples from mfrs, so nothing is ever bad. The Varmint Hunter magazine was one of the really good honest pubs.

I had heard there were financial issues for a while now but I thought is was better since they seemed to have funds to build the new range.
Sucks but stuff happens. I had really grown tired of seeing LP Brezny's ugly mug any way. Most of the articles from regular writers had become P'ing contests over mathematic formulas and who had the most toys.

But hey, we got a s$%ton of gi joe tactical crap now.....

Also add in all the lies of 22lr being available.

I can go to my local gun store and pick up a brick whenever I want.

Don't feel bad - when I was posting about rangefinders he called me a liar, and said I didn't own them.

When I posted pictures of all my rangefinders, he skulked away like a rat - no appoligy either.

Consider yourself in good company. He is a know nothing.

ND didn't go for Obama in 2012 so they are on the list where him and Pelozi are hatching their master plan of limiting your states access to rimfire ammunition. Read that on some crackpot conspiracy site.

As for your opinion of me, I couldn't give 2 s$%ts if you think me a liar or if my feet stink and I hate Jesus, it has no bearing on my ability to buy a brick of 22s when needed. If that gives you some form of a feeling of personal victory, then I'm happy for you, you probably need one.

This really stinks, I always enjoyed VH magazine, they weren't as technical as Precision Shooting but the has some great photography and nice hunting stories we could all relate too.

My groundhog hunting partner and I had scoped out a couple 2000+ yard fields in the offseason, gotten permission and built a couple long range rigs in hopes of getting our pictures in the yardage clubs that VH used to post.

Heh, reminded me that I had a 'screamer' group in 1k IBS right after PS shut down.

Been a member since it's inception, first annual, then Life. Got a little card enclosed with a Sinclair International order advertising the new Varmint Hunters Association and decided to try it for a year. Was expecting twelve issues but I soon learned it was published quarterly. It grew into a wonderful magazine with superb photography.

I guess that is it for magazines for me. I first lost two years when Newsweek went bust, then almost two years when Precision Shooting crapped out, now bigger $$ with Life Membership of VHA. I'm more than happy to keep contributing to this site but I am done with magazines.
