VERTICAL STRINGING AGHHHH!!!

There are a few factors that affect vertical or horizontal spread.
When things are "perfect", seating depth testing will show groups varying from vertical to horizontal spread.

Stringing aka vertical spread can be caused (or mitigated) by changing neck tension.

Bags filled too much can cause bounce especially if both front and rear bag are hard.

Finally, a worn firing pin spring or obstruction in the bolt can cause stringing.
Many F-class shooters change firing pin springs regularly.

OK got off the bag and back on my bipod --that and a little more powder has cleared things up--

I think it is more me and my technique on the bench--I have been doing fine with all my other rifles--this new rifle--maybe because of the stock or whatever--has been a challenge. I have burned up a lot of components so far chasing it--sort of turned the corner today--I hope--I generally use a pretty firm hold and this rifle for one reason or another really likes a very gentle--almost free recoil kind of deal--????? This is a crazy hobby
