V3 Auto trickler/throw

Just received my complete V3 Auto Trickler Kit. Well almost! The kit came with an instruction manual for the scale but nothing from Adam regarding the set-up of the powder drop or trickler.
It's now after hours and Cambridge did not answer my call. Does anyone know if it's possible for me to obtain the instructions on-line?
Thanks

I'm sure someone on this forum can talk you through it if you need to load tonight. I don't have instructions but I set one up for a friend last night and may or may not be able to help. :)

I'm not desperate and don't need to load tonight. It wasn't rocket science and I have it together and functioning. It would have been nice to know if it made a difference which port #1 or #2 was used for trickler. Either it didn't make a difference or I lucked out. I will call Cambridge tomorrow and see if additional instructions are available. Thanks for the reply.

Download the manual from Adam's website. I just checked and it's there.

Thanks for the link, you made my evening and I can't thank you enough. I was previously on that page and the only excuse I can think of for not seeing it is my eye's must have been closed. Dah!

Happy to help.

As for not seeing a link because of closed eyes, well, I've never done that. Today.

And not to worry , it only gets worse with increasing age.

I recommend you actually do the calibration of the trickler as noted on page 13 of the instructions, so it delivers the .5 gr per second. Having done this my set-up delivers a 30 to 32 grain load of Varget in under 10 seconds. You may also have to play with the slider adjustment a bit, but it is well worth the effort for speedy delivery.

Prior questions regarding pulling off the powder reservoir lead me to suggest you do not take off the reservoir to empty it. That is a very snug fit between reservoir and the autoloader. I believe it is better to lift off the entire scale cover/autoload unit to empty it.

I did follow the suggested settings on page 13 for delivery and also entered the suggest configurations into the scale. I was surprised the package only had instructions for the scale itself and none for the powder drop or trickler.
Luckily Turbulent Turtle above supplied me with the link to the instructions. I'm rather new at re-loading and hope not having first hand experience on a balance scale will not harm me. It's great jumping in with the new technology.

I will try emptying the reservoir as you suggested. I was planning on emptying it this way until I discovered you can twist the reservoir clockwise to close it prior to removal. I imagine the tight fit would not be so tight after numerous removals however by lifting the entire top cover off you also risk pulling the wires out of the plug.

I'm very careful to keep my powder in a cool dry place and tightly sealed. With that said, how long would most people be comfortable leaving powder in the reservoir and trickler if they are covered?

I know your not suppose to but I leave mine in until I change powders. The newer plastics are not affected by powder like they use to. I reload in a conditioned space so no fear of humidity,,etc I always fluff up the powder before starting to make sure it has not condensed too much....I wish more people answered your question..,I can’t be the only one:)
