V3 Auto Trickler Released!

Got my V2 to V3 upgrade yesterday. Very nice looking equipment. I installed it all, did the adjustment Adam recommends to get the Auto trickler to drop .5 grains/second. Then downloaded the app, and tried it. Works great, and is very quiet compared to V2. The app is handy to pre set the load. I like the larger powder reservoir.

I used a Dremel tool to open a hole in the side wind plate for the trickler tube, it is just above the old hole for the V2.

I played around with it a bit, and I am dropping 30.00 grains of Varget in 8 to 10 seconds.

I’ll try and remember to get a video of mine throwing 130gr of Retumbo this coming week. A double throw and then trickles up

Got mine throwing.

What is the adjustment that recommended?

Ordered June 25, delivered September 5. Up and running like a Swiss Watch. At this point I don’t care how long it took..... Thanks Adam!

When you get the autotrickler, the instruction manual says to adjust the screw leg ( tilt) of the tube, so it will deliver 1 grain in two seconds. With the app on your smartphone, you can stop and start the trickler motor. I zeroed the scale, and started the motor while looking at my watch. I let it run for 10 seconds, and stopped the motor by hitting the Motor Stop button on my phone. I adjusted the tilt until I got 5 grains in 10 seconds.

After each test, just hit re-zero on the scale and tried it again. I was surprised that I ended up with the tube at an upward tilt, but that is where it worked.

When I filled the powder hopper on the thrower, and set the target at 30.00 grains, all that I adjusted was the +- tab in the back of the electronics to prevent under or over throw. It reliably does the throw in 8 to 10 seconds, occasionally a little longer. My V2 never did it as fast, but then I had never set the trickler at 1 grain in 2 seconds on the old v2.

Well I bought just the FX120i a few months ago and then ordered the V3 on June 29. It shipped on 9/13 and is out for delivery today 9/17. I can’t believe it only took 4 days from Canada from the time the label was created until it’s delivered. Can’t wait to get off work and get it installed!

Based on jnutz19's post and timeframe, I still have another month to wait.:(
I just received shipping confirmation for my V3 auto throw and trickler from Adam which I ordered July 20th. That’s two days shy of eight weeks from the order date.

Well I got mine installed and its up and running! Of course I had to leave to so I only got to play with it for a short time. It was a very easy install per Adam's instructions. Ive got so much load development planned out that Ive been waiting to do! This weekend will be fun!!

Great most all are up and running!!

Question for you
Does anyone out there using the 419 Auto trickler self center pan for there A&D?
I love the idea but using mine I have to constantly zero my scale and it will fluctuate from .04 -.08
I gave up and just use the stock A&D pans and the scale is flawless.
Not to concerned, it came with the V3 kit but it would be great if it would zero like stock pans.
Just wanted to see if someone else noticed this and may have a trick to adjust.
Thanks

Had the same issue, and went back to the stock A&D pan too. I suspect it has to do with the 'nipple' fit on the A&D pan; I bet if you were handy with a file you could 'fit' it, and remove the variation.

I have all the Area 419 components. I found their pan required positive and determined pressure and some slight tilting left right to get it fully seated. I was a little worried applying so much force but once it is pressed down it's done. I love the pan and their heavy cup. Well I also love the other parts. The clear acrylic lid is fantastic! Added the led kit from inline to illuminate the pan to find those sneaky grain of Varget that fall on the pan and throw (no pun) off the weight.

Adam is a genius.

Area 419 is a great machine shop

A Lee plastic scoop and a Redding trickler work good, but Adam takes us to another whole level

So maybe I don’t check my email very often...... I got a tracking number to be delivered today :D:D:D This is going to be a long day at work

Ordered on July 21.

Mine should arrive today as well. Following the tracking it went from New Brunswick Canada then down to Kentucky and back up to New Hampshire.
Too bad I just finished loading 100 rounds for my last match this year without getting to try out the V3.
