V3 Auto Trickler Released!

Can the powder reservoir be removed with powder in it and not spill?

Do you mean the hopper on top the balance scale?

On the V2 you kinda can, without having the V3, I'm not sure. Looks like it still uses the same hopper, but different/updated powder charge barrel.

You can counter-clock wise to open the hopper valve and clock-wise to close off the hopper valve. (Turn/twist the whole hopper container) However there are usually some powder kernals stuck in the edges or just static. Use a brush (small paint/hobby brush) to brush these into the charge barrel, rotate barrel and catch loose kernals at the drop tube. A little slight shaking will also help loosen up any lefter over kernals.

I just want to be able to remove the reservoir when there is powder left to dump back in the powder jug without having to disconnect the whole mechanism. Like a Dillon.

I don't have a Lee power dispenser but I understand it twists to start and stop powder flow. Can it also be removed when it's closed?

Thanks

I just picked up a small tablet to run the trickler. looking forward to this new setup.

You can order it separately, it’s $20 plus shipping. I just ordered it, the bluetooth electronic card, and the V3 parts kit for just under $120 shipped.
So, presumably this is all you would need to go from v2 to v3 if you do not have auto throw?

I just received my Area 419 Lid for my A&D scale. Well my question is how did I ever live without it?

Awhile back when I first saw the Area 419 cup I didn't give it much thought. Just another company with an accessory.

When I ordered my V2 to V3 Autotrickler upgrade I ran back into Area 419

The Area 419 Lid is an incrediblly high quality part that gives you such a clear view of the pan on the scale I really think this is one of the best accessories I ever purchased.

Along with that I purchased a Dramwerx Pryex hopper. Also a Very high quality product.

Holy cripes! That's almost exactly what I paid for my FX120i scale! Heck, I didnt even pay that much for my two RCBS Chargemasters combined. I'll just take my time with trickling the FX120i like I always do and let the Chargemasters do the main bulk of the work.

I ordered my V3 2 days ago. Tried to order the FX from Cambridge but got stiffed by them. They won't ship to the CCCP (Commu-fornia) so I had to buy it from DWS and got dinged on the Illinois sales tax.

If I could get Adam to respond to an e-mail I could perhaps find out where he is with V3 for Sartorius. He was very communicative and helpful last year when I got V2. Maybe someone told him I am an azzhat, a pariah, and socially unacceptable?
