Is V165 temperature stable? I can’t find any information about it.

According to VV testing, their 500 series powders are more temp stable than the 100 series. I found that amazing

N165 does have an extremely low heat index along with N160 and H1000 giving much longer throat live vs the N500 series....choose your posion.

There are a few 500 series that have about the same heat as 100 series. N-540 is one I found very accurate but on the hot side. So far no issues in my hunting barrels

I have not found it to be particularly temp stable. I add temp/velocity data to my ballistic solver and let it tell me what to do when the temp changes.

I have never found the 1 series powders that I use to be overly sensitive to temp swings, N550 and N560 on the other hand has bitten me in the backside.

The only thing I've noticed is between N140 or N150 and N540. The N540 causes the barrel to heat up much faster.

Yes it is and it’s also one of the coolest burning powders.
