actually, the 90lb bags were used for light loads and practice firing. 110lb bags were used for the heavy load using the 2700lb projectile with 6 bags for a 660lb charge.

Like almost 700 lbs of powder per shot?

Now, THAT'S a gun.

PS. I wonder what load development was like.
