USPS..maybe a record?

I have had plenty of problems w/ the Brown Truck Gorilla's, so they all have problems. For the most part, the people they hire are indifferent in the way they handle pkgs. The respective companies let them get away w/ it, in the interest of efficiency.....

I defense of USPS, I have used them exclusively for my trigger deliveries for close to 20yrs. The only snafu was during the peak of covid, and everyone experienced that. My deliveries other wise have been hot straight and normal. OH BTW, I have the best carrier on the planet. LDS

I see it as a free time capsule; just imaging how excited when it arrives!

That or they're keeping those porch pir8s guessing...

Im in NM, post office is one of the select few groups in the lower 48 that knows we're a state; I've got no arguments with them yet.

Scope I bought shipping on May 5th from Missouri to Hamilton,MT.Leaves MO,goes to Kansas, back to MO,back to Kansas. Then to Billings, back to Kansas, back to MO.Then to Kansas, then to Billings. This morning Package in transit...to arrive late...REALLY ? We are at 14 days...this is First Class .So maybe I might see it tomorrow? the 19th.

That's what You get for living in MT.

I ordered a New pistol from a dealer in MO. on Tuesday sent all My FFL info along , Thursday at 11:15AM I was opening the box . I'm in Idaho in the middle of No where . I also ordered a HE507 K-GR-X2 on Wednesday 1:00 PM , had it early Friday afternoon USPS

There are six postal unions, hard for them to fire a postal employee!

If someone can't speak English, read a computer screen, can't get along with others, they get extra points in getting hired by the PO! One bad Postal employee can screw up an entire town!
Customer Service may no longer be in the job description.
“No Comprende Bubba” is now a valid politically correct substitute for “no wanna do it Sucka.”

I had a part in a Medium Flat rate box but decided to put it in a smaller box thinking it might be cheaper. It turned out to be more that double. The nice lady at the PO said if it's over 2# use flat rate if you can.

I had a package do something like that, this past year. Kept going back and forth between the origin and destination towns, but took (IIRC) five hops before arriving. Of course, days late, the system informed me the package was "arriving late" but it seemingly had lost track of where in the system it was. As though the various stops since the last oopsie were too silly to post in their system. Don't know. But it eventually got there.

Strange, how a system with automated routing mechanisms throughout can automatically send a package to temporary oblivion. Can't imagine the programmer who coded that part of the system in that manner. (Spanky was out to lunch, that day, along with the quality control group evaluating the viability of such code, whatever else can be said.)

This morning, 13 lb of powder was 6 miles away, preparing for delivery.

A few hours later it had a "sortation error" and it is 100 miles away,,.......,

I guess New Braunfels, Texas is one of the anamolies. Never had any USPS issues until thieves broke into every one of the many central mail boxes in our neighborhood and new ones were 6 weeks to get installed. The new owners of our house are still having to go the post office and pick up their mail. I'm not sure how the mail service for our new full time RV life will work out though. The upside is we have cubic space restrictions so we won't be buying as much stuff!

I still haven't seen the Brownells order that supposedly was delivered to my home via Fedex last Wednesday.

Over the weekend, I reached out to Brownells via email, got a canned response that they would get back to me , and have heard nothing since. I have a feeling that they are pretty slammed with this kind of stuff right now.
Well, the package was delivered after all. I was walking past the bushes on the front side of my house last night and something caught my eye. It was a white padded envelope that FedEx had thrown in the bushes. It contained the items I had purchased from Brownells.

I emailed Brownells and told them to call off the dogs, my package had been found.

I’ve ordered some AR parts from Brownells, Amazon, PSA and LaRue in the last few weeks. Even bought some here. Everything has arrived as expected and within a reasonable timeframe. Lucky I guess.
