Using Ballistol as a bore cleaner

Well, when this thread was relevant, John Pierce was using and selling Ballistol as a bore solvent.

I've used Ballistol for years; you eventually get used to the dirty feet aroma. I've never tried it for bore cleaning, but if copper and carbon removal can be verified with a bore scope. it works. I'd suggest trying it on a bore heavily fouled by copper and carbon - that would be a real test.
