Using a pistol resizing die to resize the base of a 6 BR case

Somewhere among the haze and cobwebs I have a faint memory of using a pistol resizing die to resize the base of a 6 BR case.

The point is to resize the base without messing with the shoulder.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

I think a 308 die had been mentioned to get all the way down without touching shoulders.
I got a ring die from Uthink Uknow.

I have certainly used anything that I could find, to body size some old 6 BRX for a crap ( sorry, tight) chamber.

243/308/243AI body die, 44 mag..kitchen tools, car jack, spark plug spanner (French)...now I have an annealer, life is easier.

When I first started loading for the 6brx , before my dies were made I used a std 6br die along with a .308 body die the 45 acp will work too.

I have used a .243 and .308 fl sizing die in the past. At the moment I am using an old .22 Cheetah fl die as the base just happens to be the ideal diameter and the 40 deg shoulder insures no contact above the base. Many ways to accomplish this.

I just use my rollsizer. It will also snug up the primer pocket a touch in some cases.
