Using a expander mandrel after using a FL bushing die

High power volume ammo. The 21st Century die/mandrels are in station 1 on both 650s. These are strictly for loading. I don't process brass, I send them out, they come back primed ready to load

Edit. All my mandrels, expanding and turning, are melonited. Next best thing to the expensive carbide offerings.

Dumb question... If they're melonited... Do they gall? Does the melonite wear off?

That is a classy piece of equipment but I envisioned C clamping another RCBS Partner press beside the one I use.
For F-Class and long range BR, I run a mandrel into the next as the last step prior to seating a primer.

When tuning, I try to establish the "better" neck tension after course seating and powder, then fine seating and fine neck tension as I believe the two are very much relative to one another.

We tried running a mandrel into a 6 ppc case and it hit the doe nut.
Doe don’t have nuts.:p Depending on your 6ppc brass prep, your 6ppc brass will not have donuts.
I get more consistent es using a mandrel after sizing the neck just below the mandrel size. I have not seen enough difference at the target to justify the added step.

Where do you guys get your mandrels, and do they come in different diameters for a given caliber?
I originally purchased a set of 6mm and 7mm from field and cave outfitters.
My last set (.22 cal) I ordered from 21st Century.

My buddy bought Dick Whiting's equipment and moved it Austin. Dick's DBA was Mountaineer Brass Processing.. Standard processing; clean, resize, trim, clean, chamfer necks. The new business in Austin is under the name Pop Pop Brass..

I provide the primers and they run them in a dedicated 1050.
