Let me expound on this answer.

Those with enough experience can check the brass in short order and determine if has been properly cared for. If you do not know what to look for, you may just be buying someone else’s problems.

Then, you are back to how reliable the guy you are buying from is. If he knows his stuff, he can tell you if the brass has been fired hot, or if the primer pockets are getting lose.

You will learn from buying the used brass.

I did good on buying twice fired Lapua 6br brass. I bought in confidence from the seller knowing his reputation. It was annealed on an AMP for the second firing and annealed and trimmed before being shipped to me. I have 56 cents a piece in it to my door. 463 pcs, the brass is in like new condition.
