Lapua "Palma" Brass

I just bought 100 pieces of unfired 308 Lapua Palma Brass with the Small Rifle Primers.

My question is can I still practice with my normal stuff and use this only for F Class? Or, will I see too much of a difference between the regular brass and this Lapua Brass?

I have never used Lapua brass before or 308 with Small Rifle Primers so I wanted to see what would work best.

Thanks,

Yes there will be a difference but you can probably compensate for it by adjustment of your charge. It may be too small to worry about and you won't have to do anything. The primers and case capacity will be the two variations you have test to make the pressure the same. I know a man that did this last year and when both charges had the same vertical at a longer distance then they had the same pressure.

My Lapua cases are .5 grain H2O difference between standard and Palma. Standards are 55.7 and Palmas are 56.2. The bigger difference was between SR and LR primers. I use SRM primers, either CCI 450 or Russian SRM. One load worked best with Remington 7½ BR, a pretty hot primer. Regardless, there will be a charge weight difference.
