USA Young Eagles Need Help To Win Worlds

Dear Friends,

I write to you today asking for your help.

In August of this summer, the United States Under 21 and Under 25 Rifle Teams will be competing in the World Championships in Ottawa, Canada. The team consists of 20 young men and women who will be competing for the title of World Champion.

The total cost of travel and match fees for the team in 2007 will be no less than $95,000. Team members supply all their own equipment, rifles and ammunition and raise some of the money themselves. We are a very long way from achieving our financial goal and need your support.

The youth are the lifeblood of our sport; without them we have no future. Given the change in the political environment here in the United States, it is more important than ever that we band together and put out support behind these kids. Will you help us?

The cost of travel, housing, match fees,both individual and team), etc. is no small expense. The team will be competing at the Nationals at Camp Perry> We then have one day to travel to the the Connaught Ranges in Ottawa Canada. The cost for transportation from Ohio to Ottawa is between $9,000 -$12,000 for the team. The combined total just for housing between Camp Perry and Connaught is $18,000. Add in the cost of match fees both in the US and Canada as well as the extras that always come into play and it all adds up very quickly.

The US has a damn good chance of winning Gold but not without the support of the shooting community.
